New to Grow
I am a dedicated social work and behavioral health professional with extensive experience in case management, medical social work, suicide prevention, and services for older adults. I bring a compassionate, person centered approach to care, grounded in respect, cultural humility, and a strong commitment to supporting individuals through life’s most challenging transitions. With experience working across the lifespan from young adulthood through end-of-life care I have developed a deep understanding of the emotional, medical, and social factors that impact wellbeing. This includes supporting individuals within the LGBTQIA+ community, caregivers, and those navigating complex health or psychosocial needs. I am committed to creating a safe, affirming, and collaborative therapeutic environment where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to move toward meaningful change and improved quality of life.
The first session is focused on getting to know you and understanding what brings you to therapy. We will begin by discussing your current concerns, personal history as it relates to your goals, and what you hope to gain from treatment. This helps create a foundation for a collaborative and personalized plan of care.
My greatest strength is my own personal lived experience combined with my professional experience across various areas of social services. This allows me to provide empathy and create space for clients to process a wide range of life stressors, while also requiring minimal explanation or context to fully understand their situation. This time is for you to process and identify best approaches to managing the stressors.
My ideal clients are individuals navigating life transitions, stress, anxiety, depression, medical challenges, caregiving responsibilities, aging-related concerns, and emotional overwhelm. With a background in case management, medical social work, suicide prevention, and older adult services, I am passionate about supporting clients who may feel stuck, unsupported, or overwhelmed by life circumstances. I work well with adults, caregivers, older adults, and individuals seeking compassionate, practical, and person-centered support. In addition to my professional experience, lived experience has also allowed me to work closely with individuals across the LGBTQIA+ spectrum from age 18 through end-of-life care. I strive to create a safe, affirming, and collaborative environment where clients feel heard, empowered, and supported in building healthier coping skills, improving emotional wellness, and achieving meaningful personal growth.
