I am a dedicated social work and behavioral health professional with extensive experience in case management, medical social work, suicide prevention, and services for older adults. I bring a compassionate, person centered approach to care, grounded in respect, cultural humility, and a strong commitment to supporting individuals through life’s most challenging transitions. With experience working across the lifespan from young adulthood through end-of-life care I have developed a deep understanding of the emotional, medical, and social factors that impact wellbeing. This includes supporting individuals within the LGBTQIA+ community, caregivers, and those navigating complex health or psychosocial needs. I am committed to creating a safe, affirming, and collaborative therapeutic environment where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to move toward meaningful change and improved quality of life.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session is focused on getting to know you and understanding what brings you to therapy. We will begin by discussing your current concerns, personal history as it relates to your goals, and what you hope to gain from treatment. This helps create a foundation for a collaborative and personalized plan of care.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strength is my own personal lived experience combined with my professional experience across various areas of social services. This allows me to provide empathy and create space for clients to process a wide range of life stressors, while also requiring minimal explanation or context to fully understand their situation. This time is for you to process and identify best approaches to managing the stressors.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are individuals navigating life transitions, stress, anxiety, depression, medical challenges, caregiving responsibilities, aging-related concerns, and emotional overwhelm. With a background in case management, medical social work, suicide prevention, and older adult services, I am passionate about supporting clients who may feel stuck, unsupported, or overwhelmed by life circumstances. I work well with adults, caregivers, older adults, and individuals seeking compassionate, practical, and person-centered support. In addition to my professional experience, lived experience has also allowed me to work closely with individuals across the LGBTQIA+ spectrum from age 18 through end-of-life care. I strive to create a safe, affirming, and collaborative environment where clients feel heard, empowered, and supported in building healthier coping skills, improving emotional wellness, and achieving meaningful personal growth.

My treatment methods

Gender-affirming therapy

I provide gender-affirming therapy grounded in compassion, collaboration, and respect for each client’s lived experience. My approach centers on creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where individuals can explore identity, self-expression, relationships, life transitions, and emotional wellbeing at their own pace.

Humanistic

Using a client centered and strengths based approach, I work collaboratively with individuals to build self-awareness, improve self esteem, and develop healthier coping strategies. Treatment focuses on helping clients better understand themselves, navigate life transitions, process difficult emotions, and align with their personal values and goals.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I utilize Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), a strengths based and goal oriented approach that helps clients identify practical solutions and build on existing strengths. Together, we focus on creating achievable goals, developing effective coping strategies, and fostering positive change in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Psychoeducation

I incorporate psychoeducation into treatment to help clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and mental health concerns. By providing education, practical tools, and coping strategies, I empower clients to build self-awareness, strengthen emotional wellness, and make informed decisions that support personal growth and positive change.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns, improve emotional regulation, and develop healthier coping strategies. CBT is a collaborative, goal oriented approach that supports clients in creating positive behavioral changes, improving self-awareness, and building skills to manage stress, anxiety, depression, and everyday challenges.
