New to Grow
I am a licensed mental health counselor and a certified clinical trauma professional, focusing on childhood and generational trauma. I am a strong advocate for mental health awareness and emphasize the importance of self-care management. Having personally struggled with anxiety since childhood, I have learned to become resilient and continue to grow through my challenges. My experience includes helping individuals facing interpersonal conflicts, anxiety, depression, and life transitions.
In our initial visits, we identify the main issues, provide education, and discuss treatment goals. Using a compassionate, collaborative approach grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I help clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors interact—and how small shifts can lead to meaningful change. We'll explore patterns that keep you stuck and build practical tools for coping, connection, and clarity.
My greatest strengths are being open-minded and empathetic yet challenging when necessary. I am passionate about achieving a work-life balance and applying that balance in both my professional and personal life. To support this, I prioritize self-care, which includes exploring new hobbies, staying physically active, spending time with family, and enjoying comedy to recharge my week. I understand that therapy is a vulnerable space for clients, and it takes time to build a genuine connection.
I work with adults who seem to hold it all together but feel disconnected or exhausted beneath the surface, particularly caregivers, healthcare workers, and those needing support with stress management and emotional regulation. You may be questioning your direction, your relationships, or even your sense of self. Together, we’ll create a space where you don’t have to perform or pretend—just be real and begin to heal.
In the initial sessions of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I assist clients in understanding how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors interact, which can help with addressing ongoing emotional stressors. By exploring and understanding your core beliefs, you can improve your self-awareness and better understand your internal motivations.
I use mindfulness and acceptance practices to help individuals manage unwanted thoughts and feelings, promote self-acceptance, and encourage changes that align with their values.
Psychodynamic therapy is used to explore an individual’s past, including childhood experiences and relationships. This approach aims to uncover unconscious motivations and unresolved conflicts that may impact mental health. The goal is to help clients understand how their history influences their present behavior and to enhance their self-awareness.
Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), a structured method designed to help you process and heal from trauma. I will guide you at a comfortable pace as we develop coping skills, explore the impact of trauma on your thoughts and emotions, and work to reduce distress.
