Hello, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker working as a therapist for over two decades after graduating from Fordham University with a Masters degree in Social Work. I have a wide variety of experience working with disorders such as anxiety, depression and everyday life challenges. I have successfully assisted many people in making changes by creating a setting that is non judgmental and collaborative.
In our first session we will discuss our expectations for therapy, your perception of the problems at present and create some short terms goals in order to move forward with a clear understanding of treatment needs. You will leave the session with some beginning strategies for managing mood and behavior.
I believe that one of the most important building blocks to change is the relationship between therapist and client. I enjoy helping people make desired change and the special connection that is formed during the therapeutic process. I will listen without judgement, allow you to feel heard and give you a safe space where you can begin to trust.
If you are in need of managing your anxiety or other life challenges that leave you confused and in need of direction and clarity, I believe I am the therapist for you.
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
By challenging and helping to change cognitive distortions (thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes) and their associated behaviors and helping patients to develop coping strategies that target solving current problems. I have assisted many people in managing life challenges and creating desired change. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is one of the most successful modes of treatment.
Compassion Focused
Compassion Focused Therapy is designed to help individuals who struggle with self-criticism and shame. It encourages self-compassion and understanding, aiming to improve emotional regulation and well-being by fostering a kinder relationship with oneself. Being kinder to yourself begins the process of giving you permission to live your life free from judgement.
Grief Therapy
Grief therapy supports individuals dealing with the loss of a loved one. It helps them process their emotions, understand the stages of grief, and find ways to adjust to life after loss. It often includes exploring emotions such as sadness, anger, and guilt.
Supportive
Supportive therapy provides emotional support and encouragement to clients. It focuses on strengthening coping mechanisms, offering reassurance, and helping individuals manage stress, without delving deeply into underlying psychological issues. It’s often used for clients with chronic illness or during challenging life transitions.

I really needed someone to just listen to me ramble and help me figure out what I need since I've tried therapy a few times and was never able to conceptualize what that was. I really enjoy talking to her and working through both my known issues and some that I never really thought about as issues before. She's the first therapist I've had that I actually look forward to sessions.

Always makes me feel confident in myself and gives me challenges to work on with slowing my brain down that I can do very easily without adding to my anxiety.
