Greetings, I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor based in Florida with over six years of experience supporting adolescents and adults through life’s most challenging transitions. I specialize in helping clients heal from the emotional impact of abusive or unhealthy relationships, navigate phase-of-life changes, and work through personal, relational, and emotional concerns. My approach is compassionate, supportive, and strength-based, with a focus on helping clients feel safe, understood, and empowered in the therapy space. Together, we work to build insight, coping skills, and confidence—so you’re not only managing what you’re facing now, but also preparing for the future you hope to create. Therapy with me is a collaborative process where your experiences are honored and your growth is supported at a pace that feels right for you.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
During your first session, we will focus on creating a safe, supportive space where you can begin to feel comfortable and heard. We’ll spend time getting to know one another, discussing what brought you to therapy, and exploring what you hope to gain from our work together. I’ll gather information to better understand your experiences and needs, but there is no pressure to share anything before you’re ready. We’ll also talk about your goals, answer any questions you may have, and discuss what therapy with me can look like moving forward. The first session is a collaborative conversation designed to help you feel supported, informed, and empowered as we begin this journey.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
One of my greatest strengths is the depth of life and professional experience I bring into the therapy space. Before becoming a counselor, I worked in education and spent several years as a foster parent—experiences that continue to shape the way I connect with and support my clients. In addition, I completed my graduate school internship at a domestic violence shelter, where I developed a strong foundation in supporting individuals recovering from relationship abuse and unhealthy relational dynamics. This work deepened my understanding of trauma, safety, and the complex emotional patterns that can develop within abusive relationships. Together, these experiences have given me meaningful insight into the emotional realities of children, families, caregivers, and adults navigating complex relationships and life transitions. Many clients share that they feel understood and relatable working with me, particularly when healing from relationship abuse or rebuilding trust and confidence in themselves. I bring a calm, steady presence informed by experience, perspective, and compassion, using that wisdom to support clients with patience, understanding, and practical guidance as they move toward growth and healing.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I enjoy working with clients who are open to self-reflection and curious about their own growth, even if they’re unsure where to begin. Many people come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, conflicted, or uncertain, and that’s okay—motivation often develops along the way. Therapy can feel challenging at times, especially when addressing difficult experiences or patterns, but it can also be deeply rewarding. I value working with clients who are willing to show up, be honest with themselves, and engage in the process at a pace that feels manageable and supportive.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT is the primary treatment method I use due to the versatility of this method for many concerns clients may have. It is a modality that is easier for clients to become engaged in when implementing interventions for improvement.
Psychoeducation
I believe that providing a client with an understanding of their circumstances, explaining how current experiences can be linked to past experiences and having an understanding of diagnoses empowers clients with the knowledge necessary to improve their lives. Psychoeducation is a component that is lasting beyond the therapy sessions and can be helpful for those supporting the client.
Trauma Informed Care
I believe in supporting clients with an experience and interactions that are considerate of a trauma history whether they share it with me early in the therapeutic process or later. Trauma impacts how an individual responds to life and it is important for providers to be aware of the various ways trauma may show up.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
Some individuals may not need intensive therapy but only targeted and brief therapy to support them through a challenging experience. Solution focused brief treatment is usually effective for clients who are receiving services through EAP.

My first appointment with Jacqueline was exactly what I needed. She listened, she validated and she did so with kindness and encouragement. She is very easy to talk to, like a friend you have known for a while. I am looking forward to learning from and growing with her.
