I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) based in the state of Florida. I have been practicing for over 25 years in both agency and private settings. I help adolescents and adults across various cultures and socio-economic groups to address issues that they are faced with and make the necessary changes to transform their adversities and lead more healthy, successful, and productive lives.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session we will seek to discover what the client considers to be the main problems that led them to seek therapy. We will set expectations and form a therapeutic alliance that will serve to drive future sessions.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I am a great listener, empathetic and caring provider. I utilize appropriate questioning style to help clients to discover their inner strengths and empower them to make meaningful changes.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I enjoy working with all ages but prefer to adolescents and older. I have experience in working with ages 5 years to 90 years old but will work with any client that wants to improve their life by addressing challenges that affect their daily functioning.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
As a License Mental Health Counselor for more than 25 years, I have been using CBT to help my clients to reframe their thought process with great success. This method provides clients the opportunity to assess their thought process and replace negative thoughts with more positive and productive thoughts.
Culturally Sensitive Therapy
Through the use of this modality, I consider the client's cultural background, identity, and beliefs, in order to provide appropriate and effective treatment.
