I work with women navigating life transitions, including changes in relationships, family roles, and health. These experiences can bring anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and the effects of trauma into focus, and can influence how thoughts, emotions, and the body interact. As a yoga therapist and yoga teacher for over 25 years, mindfulness is a natural part of my work and informs how I understand and approach the mind body connection. I integrate mindfulness based stress reduction, mindfulness based cognitive therapy, and somatic therapy into sessions in a way that supports awareness and emotional regulation. My training as a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania and Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida allows me to bring these approaches together in a way that is both clinically grounded and responsive to your experience.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is a warm, collaborative space to begin exploring the transition you are moving through. We will look at what has shifted in your relationships, roles, or health, and how those changes are showing up emotionally and in your body. I will ask questions to understand your history and what you are noticing, while allowing space for the conversation to unfold in a way that reflects what matters most to you. You can expect a structured but natural flow, where we stay connected to what feels most relevant without needing to cover everything at once. Mindfulness, somatic awareness, and attention to the nervous system are part of the session, supporting how you relate to what you are feeling and how your body responds during periods of change. You will leave with a sense of how this work can support regulation, awareness, and more steady responses moving forward.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I have a strong ability to help clients connect what they are thinking, feeling, and experiencing in their body, which is especially important when working with anxiety and life transitions. As a yoga therapist and licensed counselor, I bring both mind and body awareness into the work. I help clients build insight, regulate emotions, and create changes that feel realistic and lasting over time.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Most of my work has centered around women experiencing anxiety, stress, and life transitions, including those navigating perimenopause, postpartum, shifting roles, or changes in identity. My clients are often high-functioning but feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or emotionally reactive, and want to better understand themselves, regulate their emotions, and feel more grounded in their daily lives. Our work together is designed to help them develop healthier ways of coping and reconnect with themselves.

My treatment methods

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I use mindfulness-based therapy to support clients in managing anxiety, stress, and life transitions by increasing awareness of the mind-body connection. Clients learn to observe thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations without judgment, which helps reduce reactivity and improve emotional regulation. I often integrate mindfulness with cognitive and values-based approaches to support meaningful, sustainable change.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

My approach is grounded in person-centered therapy, where I prioritize building a safe, trusting relationship. I work collaboratively with clients, offering empathy and support while honoring their unique experiences and perspectives. This allows clients to explore challenges at their own pace and develop insight, self-acceptance, and meaningful change.

Mind-body approach

I take a mind-body approach by helping clients understand how thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations are connected. Many people experience anxiety not just mentally, but physically in the body, and learning to recognize those early signals can be a powerful step toward change. I incorporate simple awareness-based strategies, including breath, grounding, and body-based noticing, to help clients feel more regulated and present. This approach supports clients in responding to stress more intentionally rather than reacting automatically.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use cognitive behavioral techniques to help clients identify patterns between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we explore how certain thinking patterns may be contributing to anxiety or distress, and work to shift those patterns in a practical and manageable way. I focus on helping clients build awareness of their internal experiences and develop tools they can use in real-life situations to reduce reactivity and improve daily functioning.

Trauma Informed Care

I approach all clients through a trauma-informed lens, recognizing that past experiences can shape how individuals respond to stress, relationships, and emotional challenges. I prioritize creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel in control of their pace and experience. I am mindful of how overwhelming emotions and patterns can develop over time, and I work with clients to build stability, increase self-awareness, and develop coping strategies that feel safe and sustainable.
