New to Grow
Hello, my name is Larry and I have been helping people find contentment, purpose, and fulfillment in life for many years. I work with clients from ages 12 -112 and have a warm and pragmatic approach to life and therapy. I work with individuals, couples, and families in discovering congruence that has been a proven part of my life as a husband, father, and grandfather. My wife and I have seven children (five from birth and two from adoption). We will look at life as a classroom and use every experience for growth and strengthening for one's self and others. We will learn to regulate our emotions, develop genuine love for others, and follow a path of freedom and purpose. Our hope is to gain a passion for life and hope for the future.
The first session will be one of discovery where we will recognize history that may still be controlling one today. We will develop exercises and a plan the first session for your success. You will be assigned homework and start your first week to recognize and enjoy freedoms one often does not imagine possible, no matter the circumstances. You will learn an openness and resilience that will grow as time passes with practice and perseverance.
We will invoke proven and pragmatic approaches to your individual circumstances and needs. One must remember that the brain does not discriminate what you put in it. We will together create and practice new pathways of thinking and behaving. Happiness will be a byproduct of one's work and discipline.
Clients who are ready for change and are willing to put forth the effort are in an ideal situation for growth; being open to a new way of thinking. Being successful requires a certain level of openness and humility, a certain level of disgust with failure and a realization that success and failure are not contingent on luck. Effective problem solving will become second nature as one practices application and builds self-awareness.
