Are you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unheard? Struggling to navigate life’s unexpected challenges? Do past experiences or unresolved issues hold you back from living fully? I provide a safe and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings. Together, we will develop personalized strategies tailored to your unique experiences and goals. Therapy is a collaborative process, and I believe in working closely with you to understand your needs, strengths, and challenges. This partnership allows us to explore different perspectives, identify patterns in your thinking and behavior, and create new pathways for growth As a culturally competent therapist trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I am here to support you in your journey toward healing and growth. My focus is on working with clients who face a range of challenges, including depression, anxiety, major life changes, unhealthy relationships and generational trauma. Together, we can work on setting and achieving both small and long-term goals. In our work together, we will focus on progress, not perfection. Your imperfections are not flaws—they are a fundamental part of who you are. By embracing them, we can work toward creating a life that feels authentic, fulfilling, and true to you.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we’ll start with a brief introduction where I’ll share a little about myself and my approach to therapy. From there, we’ll focus on getting to know you—your needs, current challenges, and what brought you to therapy. My goal is to meet you where you are, create a safe and supportive space, and begin laying the foundation for the work we’ll do together. This session is all about starting to build a connection and understanding how I can best support you on your journey

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I work collaboratively with clients to help them develop skills, feel empowered, become more assertive, and make healthy decisions that align with their goals. Together, we address the root causes of challenges and explore patterns that may be holding them back. By actively listening and understanding where clients are in their therapeutic process, I create a supportive and compassionate environment that encourages self-awareness, growth, and lasting change.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have extensive experience utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in my practice, working with clients facing a range of challenges, including substance use disorders (SUDs), anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and PTSD. I also specialize in helping individuals navigate significant life transitions. My approach emphasizes empowering clients with practical tools to manage their symptoms, reshape negative thought patterns, and build resilience to improve overall well-being

Attachment-based

By incorporating attachment-based techniques, I help clients explore the roots of their struggles within the context of their relationships, fostering a deeper understanding of how early experiences shape present behaviors. This approach empowers clients to build healthier relationships, enhance emotional security, and develop effective coping strategies, creating a foundation for lasting change

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

Having worked with clients from various backgrounds facing challenges such as substance use disorders (SUDs), anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and major life transitions, I strive to create an inclusive and supportive environment. My approach respects and incorporates each client’s cultural values, traditions, and experiences, ensuring treatment is not only effective but also empowering and deeply relevant to their identity

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)

I have significant experience utilizing exposure therapy to help clients with PTSD and anxiety overcome their fears and reclaim their lives. By gradually and systematically exposing clients to feared situations, memories, or thoughts in a safe and controlled manner, I support them in reducing avoidance behaviors and diminishing the intensity of their emotional responses. This approach allows clients to confront their fears at their own pace, fostering a sense of empowerment and resilience. My focus is on guiding clients through the process with compassion and understanding, helping them break free from fear and embrace a fuller, more fulfilling life

Gestalt

I find Gestalt therapy to be a highly effective and engaging approach that helps clients connect with their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in the present moment. Through techniques like role-playing or the empty chair exercise, we work together to address unresolved feelings or past experiences that may still be impacting their lives. This approach fosters deeper self-awareness and helps clients develop a more authentic connection with themselves. It’s a collaborative process that encourages growth, self-acceptance, and meaningful change
