Thank you for starting the process of improving yourself. I have had the opportunity over the past 25 years to help a vast array of individuals make positive changes. My counseling style is to happily meet you where you are and support you in your journey. I treat all individuals with respect, dignity, and without judgement. Your decision to reach out may be one of the hardest in your life and one of the most important. You are brave for making this step and you are not alone in this! I would be honored to assist you in obtaining your goals and building a better life.
I always start with asking how you are feeling in the moment, how you prefer to be addressed and if you have any questions. Next I ask any needed follow up questions from the assessment. From there we discuss goals and next steps. Ideally, I will introduce at least one new skill to practice after our first session.
The feedback I receive is that I demonstrate unconditional positive regard for all clients and offer new perspectives. Additionally, I do my best to help you learn skills that meet your specific needs.

I have been intensively trained in and utilizing DBT since 2002. I teach DBT skills in line with clients' specific needs and mindfulness as a starting point.
I have been utilizing CBT since 2001. I teach CBT skills in line with clients' needs to help identify emotions so change can be achieved.
