New to Grow
’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who provides a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space for adults navigating anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, stress, and significant life transitions. I understand that reaching out for support can feel difficult, and I strive to help clients feel comfortable, heard, and respected. My approach is collaborative and solution focused, combining meaningful conversation with practical tools that can help you build emotional resilience, gain clarity, and create lasting change in your everyday life.
Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and discuss what brought you to therapy. I’ll ask about your current concerns, important experiences, and what you hope to gain from our work together. You won’t be expected to share everything at once we’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. By the end of the session, we’ll begin identifying your goals and creating a plan that fits your needs.
I bring warmth, curiosity, and a calm, nonjudgmental presence to each session. I listen closely for patterns, strengths, and experiences that may be influencing how you feel today. My approach combines thoughtful reflection with practical, solution focused strategies, so you can gain insight while also developing tools to use outside of therapy. I meet you where you are and tailor our work to your individual needs, goals, and pace.
My ideal client is an adult who may appear capable and strong on the outside but feels overwhelmed, anxious, disconnected, or uncertain about what comes next. They may be navigating depression, grief, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, work related stress, or a significant life transition. They want a supportive space where they can speak honestly, better understand themselves, and learn practical ways to cope. They may not know exactly where to begin, but they are ready to take steps toward greater clarity, confidence, and emotional well-being.
I identify as
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
use ACT to help clients recognize difficult thoughts and emotions without allowing them to control their choices. Together, we clarify what matters most to the client, explore how avoidance may be keeping them stuck, and identify realistic actions that align with their values. This approach helps clients develop greater psychological flexibility while moving toward a more meaningful and fulfilling life
Christian Counseling
When requested by the client, I integrate Christian faith and biblical principles into the therapeutic process. We may explore how prayer, Scripture, faith, and spiritual values can support healing, decision making, and emotional resilience. I respect each client’s individual beliefs and use this approach collaboratively, alongside evidence based counseling practices, without judgment or imposing my personal views.
Motivational Interviewing
I use Motivational Interviewing to help clients explore mixed feelings about change in a supportive, nonjudgmental environment. Through thoughtful questions and reflection, we identify personal strengths, values, and reasons for moving forward. Rather than telling clients what they should do, I help them build confidence, work through barriers, and choose realistic changes that feel meaningful and achievable.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I use DBT informed strategies to help clients manage intense emotions, tolerate distress, improve relationships, and respond to difficult situations more effectively. Depending on the client’s needs, we may practice mindfulness, grounding, emotional regulation, crisis coping, and interpersonal-effectiveness skills. My goal is to provide practical tools clients can use in everyday life while helping them balance self-acceptance with meaningful change.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I use a person-centered approach to create a warm, genuine, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and accepted. I recognize that each client is the expert on their own life and tailor therapy to their individual experiences, values, and goals. Through empathy, collaboration, and thoughtful reflection, I help clients recognize their strengths, deepen self understanding, and move toward meaningful change at a comfortable pace.
