Please let me know if I can bring a more balanced picture to your life and those who you value and love in your life as well.

Hi, I’m Lisa, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with experience working with adolescents, young adults, and families navigating anxiety, emotional dysregulation, substance use, family conflict, self-esteem challenges, and life transitions. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in meeting clients where they are. I strive to create a supportive and nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe exploring challenges, building insight, and developing healthier coping strategies and relationships. I believe meaningful change happens through authentic connection, self-awareness, and feeling genuinely understood.
I grew up in a small town in Hawaii, then came to Southern California and began studying psychology in 2001. I completed my master’s degree at Fuller School of Psychology in 2010 and served children and families at a community mental health agency for 10 years, also starting a private practice 8 years ago. While I loved island life, I’ve put down roots here through friendships, involvement in my community, and my love of LA’s cultural diversity.
i am a seasoned therapist in practice for over 40 years. I enjoy working with individuals and families of all cultural/ethnic backgrounds. The issues of anxiety, grief/loss, trauma, depression, anger and stress management are common to most people as they journey through life's transitions. I am an optimist because I have seen the therapeutic process help many individuals and families overcome very serious challenges, achieve emotional stability, and lead very productive lives.
Self-knowledge can only take us so far in dealing with our challenges. It may go deeper than that with our most persistent issues. It can be invaluable to have a trusted and non-judgmental person to help us see our blindspots and to provide insights that we can't see on our own. If you feel ready to talk about making more progress in your personal growth and recovery, I hope you'll schedule a session today.

Hi, I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in California. I earned my master’s degree from UC Berkeley and have been practicing for 10 years. I specialize in helping individuals and families who have faced challenging experiences and are struggling with anxiety, depression, or PTSD. My goal is to provide a supportive space where you can build effective coping skills, find relief from stress, and regain a sense of control over your life.
Hello! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) located in South Bay LA, and have been practicing for over 7 years. I received my MMFT from University of Southern California, and work primarily with teens, adults, and young adults who struggle to feel good about themselves and where they are in life.
Change feels risky. Staying the same feels worse. I offer individual therapy for teens and adults to inspire positive change. Sitting across from me feels warm and unhurried. People tell me they relax in a way they didn’t expect to. I listen closely, not only to your words, but to what sits underneath them. You will feel how committed I am to understanding your actual story rather than a tidy summary of it. And because I want you to reach what you came here for, I will challenge you, too. Gently, and in ways that move you forward. You will not spend the hour filling silence while I wait. I stay active in the work, naming the patterns as they surface and handing you practical steps to try before we meet again. I do not force your life into one method. I blend skill, insight, and a good deal of intuition so the work fits you. Over time, you notice yourself handling stress in steadier ways, saying what you mean more clearly, trusting your own judgment again. You start coming to therapy to refine how you’re growing rather than to survive another hard week. And as you find your footing, you build the confidence to keep moving on your own.
As a provider, my greatest strengths lie in my deep empathy, active listening, and a commitment to mindful curiosity. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and I strive to create a safe, supportive space where your unique story can be truly heard and valued. Rather than simply diagnosing a problem, I listen for the 'hidden' stories of your strengths and values that often get overshadowed. My approach to active listening is about more than just understanding; it’s about standing alongside you to deconstruct the challenges you face and uncover the skills you already possess. Together, we will collaborate to rewrite the narratives that no longer serve you, fostering a therapeutic relationship built on trust, respect, and the reclamation of your personal agency.

Do you often feel missed by the people in your life? When you look forward does it sometimes feel impossible to experience something new?
As an Authentic Relating Facilitator, Nonviolent Communication Practitioner, and Licensed Therapist, I have a deep desire to attune to you and your world. Together we can illuminate the patterns and roads blocks that you have been experiencing. You need to know where you are to get to where you want to go. We can build a map to get you there.
Once we have a map of where we are headed, we will practice the skills needed to get to your desired life. Some of the skills we will use to navigate the terrain are mindfulness, somatic and mind-body practices, written word exploration, feelings and needs awareness, and vision/goals work.
Ready to take the journey? Schedule a free consultation to answer any questions you may have. You know the way, and I’d be honored to accompany you.
I have worked in private practice and the school systems providing Educationally Related Mental Health Services (ERMHS) for almost 25 years. During this time I founded a small business where my team and I provide these mental health services individually and in groups on-site to school districts all over Sonoma County, CA. I love working with children k-12 and their families. I have worked in non-public schools, public schools, and privately with at-risk youth and their families. This has been my passion my whole career.
I have been married to my lovely wife for 20 years, together for 27 years and we have two beautiful children. Our son is 16 and our daughter is 13. I enjoy all things outdoors. I surfed competitively in my youth and I love mountain biking, snowboarding and anything that has to do with water, but my main love is spending time with my family.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) with nine years of experience working with adolescents (high school–aged and older) and adults facing a wide range of emotional and behavioral challenges. I specialize in supporting teens and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, self-harm behaviors, and trauma/PTSD.
I have extensive experience helping adolescents navigate academic stress, social anxiety, identity development, emotional regulation, and the impact of difficult life experiences. With adults, I work collaboratively to address mood concerns, trauma histories, life transitions, relationship stress, and patterns that may be keeping them feeling stuck.
My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I prioritize creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel understood and empowered. Together, we work to build insight, strengthen coping skills, and foster meaningful healing and personal growth so clients can move toward becoming the best versions of themselves.
I am a 54 year old bi-culutral father of two adolescents in the year 2025. With all of the social pressures that our families have been subject to, it's never been more important to be close and listen to each other. Social disconnect is the new pandemic and the challenges that interefere with social connection are the same ones driving our sense of faulty connection and confusion with pleasure and happiness.
Bienvenidas! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) serving clients in California and Colorado. My practice is rooted in a fat liberation lens, which means I actively support you in dismantling internalized and societal fatphobia to cultivate a compassionate relationship with your body.
I provide a nurturing space to process life transitions, career changes, burnout, and the journey of becoming a cycle-breaker—particularly within the BIPOC community. As a first-generation daughter of immigrants, I hold deep respect for those who are new to therapy or returning to it. My goal is to create a culturally-grounded, safe environment where you can heal and grow.
I am also trained in Brainspotting, a powerful tool we can use to access and process deep emotional pain and trauma that traditional talk therapy may not reach.
Hello! I have been a therapist for almost 15 years and have worked with children, teens, individuals, and families. I live in northern California and have been in private practice for 5 years. I have worked in residential treatment, psychiatric care, family courts, and with individuals who have been incarcerated. My wide range of experience has allowed me to see all different types of people and help them all the same. I currently work with clients who are children, teens, and adults. I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, burnout, relationship stress, life transitions, and long-standing patterns that leave them feeling stuck or disconnected from themselves. My approach is grounded, direct, and compassionate. I believe therapy should feel collaborative—not clinical or judgmental.
Together, we’ll explore the patterns, beliefs, and survival strategies that may have once protected you but no longer serve you. I help clients build insight, emotional regulation, healthier boundaries, and practical tools they can actually use in daily life.
I draw from trauma-informed care, mindfulness, CBT, DBT-informed skills, and parts-focused work to support meaningful, lasting change. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe enough to be honest, curious, and fully human.
Currently offering very short term therapy. I have worked as a social worker since 2015 and was licensed in 2024. I have experience in helping clients with stress, anxiety, LGBTQ+ related issues, career difficulties, & depression. I also have experience working with compassion fatigue. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey.
All things are interconnected. To feel better, you have to act better. To feel better, you have to think better. To think better, you have to feel better. To act better, you have to think better. To think, feel, and act better, you have to care for your physical health. To care for your physical health, you have to think, feel, and act better. Each has a corresponding effect on the other. However, the aspect of ourselves that we have the most direct control of is what we do, our acting. While we can influence other people, we cannot control other people. A great source of conflict and unhappiness results from our efforts to control others. If you want better relationships, the only thing we can control is what we do, how we choose to relate. We are responsible for what we do. Others are responsible for what they do. Accepting this fundamental reality and thinking, feeling, and acting in accordance with it is how we increase our experience of power, freedom, belonging, meaning and, very importantly, fun.
My professional experience includes over 30 years of post-Master’s clinical work, including leadership experience in foster care, chemical abuse and addiction, inpatient and outpatient mental health services, and crisis intervention, de-escalation, and hospitalization. I am experienced in working with ages three through the elderly. I have worked extensively with youth and families, diverse populations and life issues, providing services in various settings, including family homes, schools, juvenile detention facilities, jails, outpatient clinics, and inpatient psychiatric facilities.
Hello and welcome. I am a bilingual (Spanish-speaking) psychotherapist with over 20 years of experience helping adults, adolescents, couples, and families navigate trauma, relationship challenges, anxiety, shame, and major life transitions.
My approach is rooted in depth psychotherapy, which means we explore not only symptoms, but the deeper emotional patterns, early experiences, and unconscious narratives that shape how we live and relate to others. I aim to create a space where clients feel understood, supported, and empowered to make meaningful and lasting change.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from University of San Francisco. I also completed four years of doctoral training in depth psychotherapy at Pacifica Graduate Institute.
In addition, I have specialized training in expressive arts therapy through John F. Kennedy University and extensive experience working with survivors of domestic violence through training with the Marjaree Mason Center.

I understand that the complexities of life have profound impacts on individuals and their abilities to manage their day to day lives. I work with individuals who are experiencing difficulty in managing work life imbalances, experiencing grief and navigating life with significant losses. My journey to becoming a therapist was deeply personal. For a long time, I struggled to find my true meaning and purpose on this earth. That changed entirely when I began working with individuals with cognitive disabilities. Witnessing their resilience and realizing that I could make a tangible, positive impact in someone’s life gave me a profound motivation to live and thrive. It sparked a passion for human connection that shapes everything I do today.
I believe that the most impactful therapy starts with a genuine, down-to-earth connection. As a LMFT, my approach is less about being a rigid mentor and more about being a trusted, supportive collaborator. I strive to create a warm, non-judgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and truly comfortable—much like talking with a close friend who has the professional tools to help you navigate life's challenges.
I specialize in working with teens, young adults, and individuals in their 20s and 30s who are navigating life transitions, relationship dynamics, and identity development.
Additionally, I bring a unique and deeply patient perspective to my practice as the founder of a company that specializes in relationship training for individuals with cognitive disabilities. This background has honed my ability to meet clients exactly where they are, offering exceptional patience, tailored communication, and practical tools for building healthy connections. Whether you are working through personal growth, relationship hurdles, or everyday stress, we will work together at a pace that feels right for you.
My experience is centered on collaborating with youth, adults, and families. During these developing years and shifting dynamics, additional care for our health is needed. I work with emotional regulation, relational rifts, enhancing communication, and acceptance of self.
With attachment focused therapy as my base, I utilize mindfulness and experiential approaches in our work together. Our conversations and therapeutic activities are guided by your experience and goals.

I've been a licensed psychotherapist for 14 years, and I love this work. I am grateful to be able to assist people in becoming their best selves and recreating their lives. I focus on therapies that will help you gain knowledge and agency within your self. I offer in person counseling in the East Bay area of San Francisco, as well as therapy while walking.
