New to Grow
Hi, I’m Michelle Anderson, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have a heart for children, teens and adults who are hurting and looking for relief. It is a privilege to help people discover that healing is possible as we work together towards growth, change, and a thriving life. You are courageous for taking this step right now. I take a strength-based approach to therapy, focusing on building courage, resilience, and self-awareness. I believe that each person has unique gifts and purposes, and part of our work together is helping you recognize and use those strengths to create a meaningful and fulfilling life. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain about your direction, I’ll work alongside you to develop a clear and practical path forward. I provide a warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where you can feel safe to be yourself. My goal is for you to feel supported, understood, and encouraged as we explore what’s holding you back and what’s possible for your future. It’s important to me that therapy feels like a place of hope and possibility. Together, we’ll focus on helping you build coping skills, have more satisfying relationships and move toward a life that feels whole, purposeful, and aligned with your values, goals and who you truly are.
In our initial session, we will explore what is bringing you to this point of being brave enough to reach out for help. I hope to offer you a welcoming and safe space to share your challenges and concerns that are getting in the way of you experiencing the peace, connection or joy you desire. We will partner together to establish goals and what outcome you are hoping for in your life. I would like to encourage you to share your strengths, talents and gifts.
I offer a gentle, non judgemental and compassionate space for you to feel safe enough to share some very difficult issues and experiences that have caused distress and pain. I enjoy using your strengths to help you reclaim joy and to thrive.
I enjoy working with children, teens and adults who are experiencing depression, anxiety, stress, self-esteem, ADHD, educational challenges, life transitions, interpersonal difficulties and family conflicts. Change can be hard and this step you have taken shows that you are ready to take on that challenge, which is extremely helpful to make the most impact with our time together. I approach each session with kindness, energy, and enthusiasm, while remaining grounded in empathy and respect for your unique journey.

I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Our thoughts are very powerful and influence how we feel and behave. This approach helps you train your brain or thoughts to become more aware of negative patterns creating pain or distress, then learning to replace these with a more positive perspective, therefore giving you some control to impact your life in a more positive direction.
