Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Expect a therapist who will advocate for you, empower your voice, and encourage holistic growth at your pace. I offer steady, compassionate support throughout counseling, beginning with our first session. Our first session will be a time for us to get to know each other and explore what’s bringing you into therapy. Together, we’ll work towards clarity and emotional balance to create a personalized plan that focuses on what matters most to you. By identifying meaningful and achievable goals that are supportive of the life you want to live.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

As a mental health advocate, I do not judge or push any beliefs or agenda and seek to truly understand your unique story and perspective. Encouraging open, transparent and authentic communication. I am certified and trained in several evidence-based treatment models (including: EMDR, Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Reflective Facilitator (RF), Seeking Safety (SS), Crisis Oriented Recovery Services (CORS), Managing and Adaptive Practices (MAP), Positive Parenting Practices (Triple P), a Nationally Registered Parent-Child Psychotherapist / CPP Clinical Supervisor and trained with UCLA and USC hospitals. My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I’m trained and certified in several evidence-based approaches, and for the past 15 years, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) has been a cornerstone of my work. I’ve seen firsthand how powerful it can be. Clients feeling empowered and equipped with personal tools to break free from recurring, anxious thoughts and feel more in control of their lives. Together, we’ll use CBT to explore the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Once you begin to see how they influence one another, you’ll be able to interrupt unhelpful patterns and replace them with healthier, more balanced ways of thinking. The goal isn’t just symptom relief, it’s helping you feel calmer, more confident, and better equipped to handle whatever life brings your way.

Attachment-based

As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I have seen first hand the impact, challenges, joys and healing relationships can have. So much of how we connect in relationships is shaped by our earliest experiences of love, safety, and belonging. I often use attachment-based therapy, in treatment. Together we can gently explore how the past can shape the view of ourselves, others and may be showing up in your current relationships. You’ll begin to recognize why certain triggers feel so intense, why you may pull away or hold on tightly, and how those responses once made sense. From there, we work on building a stronger, more secure foundation, build healthy boundaries, and feel safer both with others and within yourself. In order to experience more connected, balanced, and deeply fulfilling relationships.

Child Parent Psychotherapy

As a Nationally registered Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) clinician I have had the privilege of helping young child heal and grow. Working with Parents and Caregivers, through play, conversation, and guided support, we make space for your child to express big feelings and experiences in ways that feel safe and manageable. At the same time, you’ll gain insight into what your child’s behaviors are communicating and learn new ways to respond with confidence and calm. If trauma has touched your family, CPP helps us process those experiences at a pace that feels supportive, restoring a sense of safety, trust, and strengthening bonds for a strong foundation for your child’s emotional well-being.

Christian Counseling

Faith can be a powerful source of strength, offering hope and meaning during life’s most difficult seasons. It reminds us that we are not alone in our struggles and provides a steady foundation when circumstances feel uncertain. With a background in practical ministry, in Christian counseling, we thoughtfully weave together clinical expertise, while leaning on your faith to support you through the trials, triumphs and transitions in life. With counseling practices that align with Christ-centered principles that align with your values.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) offers practical, compassionate tools to validate your truth and help steady intense emotions, when life can feel overwhelming. Together, we’ll build skills to manage stress, reduce unwanted reactions, and navigate relationships with greater confidence and clarity. You’ll learn grounding techniques to calm your nervous system, strategies to tolerate distress without shutting down, and healthier ways to identify and express what you need.
