I have worked with many individuals who have had various forms of trauma and have helped them to feel less triggered and panicked in a variety of situations. I also specialize in anxiety and stress. If you are experiencing anxiety or stress, we can work together to help you feel more balanced. This leads to a happier, healthier life in all aspects of your life. When I work with couples, I work from an attachment based perspective. I like to help my couples build more effective communication skills that lead to connection. I have helped many couples to form more cohesive bonds. Family life can be difficult. Are your kids anxious? Do you ever wish that everything that you try to do with the family wasn't such a battle? Does getting the kids ready for bed or for an outing feel like you are herding cats? Well, you are not alone. We can work as a family to build communication that is effective and can make everyone in the family function better.
In our first session together, I will gather pertinent information about you, your background, and your concerns and goals. It will differ from other sessions in that we will be getting to know one another and also I will be gaging what you are looking for. You will have the opportunity to ask questions about me as a therapist and questions about therapy in general if you wish.
I specialize in working with PTSD, anxiety and stress. I work with people to help them soothe their feelings of overwhelm.
I have used EMDR both in person and online and have had success with both. EMDR is a treatment that is especially effective in the treatment of trauma and phobias.
I integrate DBT skills into my treatment often to help clients with anxiety, trauma and stress. It is full of great coping skills that can be used to help lessen anxiety.
I integrate techniques from internal family systems to help clients unblend from distressing parts of themselves and come to understand why there are things that may be distressing in their lives.
EFT is an attachment based therapy specifically designed for couples. It helps distressed couples build better communication and connection.
