Hi! I'm Sarah, a licensed mental health therapist based in Florida. I provide virtual psychotherapy to young adults (>30). I help my clients to build self-esteem, resiliency, and overcome life's obstacles through a personalized treatment plan. Many of my clients feel "stuck" and are struggling with a range of issues including negative self-talk, specific phobias, anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem.
Our first session together, you can expect to feel supported, seen, and heard. The first session will be about an hour, and we'll get to know each others' stories and feel comfortable before diving into the specific challenges you're facing. Together, we will develop goals and outcomes you'd like to gain from therapy.
My experience with young clients has shown that I have patience and the ability to make talking about the uncomfortable more comfortable. My clients describe me as understanding, warm, supportive, and insightful.
I am passionate about individuals struggling with self-worth, self-acceptance, self-esteem, and body image. My clients are stuck in the comfort of complacency, struggling to reach their full potential. My clients need to recognize their strengths and take control of their decisions, even when the world around them is unpredictable.

she's very empathetic but has a way of naturally allowing you to open up and really make others feel heard. she also has a way of making the conversation feel connected and really help in problem solving when needed.

Great introduction visit. Sarah went over all my issues in a caring and compassionate way. Looking forward to next time.
CBT helps clients to look at their negative views about themselves or others, and how this leads to negative self-talk and other negative behaviors. CBT focuses on how thoughts and behaviors are intertwined and how we can use that to our advantage when we are "stuck."
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy focuses on cognitions, behaviors, and also being mindful. Mindfulness practices are great for clients struggling with anxiety, panic, and OCD/obsessive thoughts.
I believe in analyzing the childhood of each client to uncover where deeply engrained beliefs developed and why. I believe it is important to understand why certain beliefs and negative thoughts develop.
