I am deeply committed to supporting individuals across all stages of life as they navigate complex emotional and mental health challenges. My experience working with diverse age groups has given me a profound appreciation for the resilience of the human spirit, whether guiding young clients through developmental struggles, assisting adults in overcoming life transitions, or helping seniors find meaning and peace. I integrate evidence-based therapeutic approaches with compassionate, person-centered care, fostering a safe space for healing and growth.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, we will build rapport and then address any specific challenges or obstacles that you may need help with. This will help me create a plan that is customized for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths are being able to listen and provide empathy to the client that I am working with. I find that the most important aspect about being a therapist is listening and being present with the client vs. listening to respond.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with all populations who are struggling with either a traumatic event (whether past or present) or would like to understand how to regulate emotions to better their overall well being.

My treatment methods

Hypnotherapy

I have been certified and practicing hypnotherapy since 2021. Hypnotherapy can be very effective in changing your overall well being, for the better, as long as you allow it. By focusing on the mind-body connection, hypnotherapy offers a holistic path to relief.Hypnotherapy is approximately 4-6 sessions for treatment to be successful. For each of the 4-6 sessions, I will invite you to relax as you listen to my words as I take you through the different states of hypnosis. Hypnosis allows you to be more open to suggestions in making healthy changes in your perceptions, sensations, emotions, memories, thoughts or behaviors, consciously and subconsciously.

Trauma Informed Care

I have experience utilizing Trauma-informed therapy for 6 years, with the most recent being the trauma of the natural disaster, hurricanes and tornadoes in the great state of Florida. This is a mental health approach that recognizes the impact of trauma on emotions, behavior, and thinking. It helps create a safe space for healing while addressing trauma symptoms like anxiety, depression, and emotional numbness.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness Based Therapy reduces stress & anxiety by encouraging non-judgmental acceptance of thoughts & emotions. Incorporating mindfulness into daily routines enhances emotional regulation & overall wellbeing.

Grief Therapy

I have worked in the Hospice setting for over a year and have experience in grief therapy. I have assisted those who lost loved ones by walking with them through the 5 stages of grief- denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT uses the mind-body connection of thoughts influencing feelings which is turn influences behavior. CBT challenges the negative distortions or thought patterns which has helped others. How CBT has been successfully used in therapy: 1. Facing one’s fears instead of avoiding them. (ie. Public speaking) 2. Using role play to prepare for potentially problematic interactions with others. (ie. teens) 3. Learning to calm one’s mind and relax one’s body. (ie. decrease anxiety, worry)
