Hi, I’m Christina. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor based in South Florida. I currently service Florida and Colorado via telehealth! I believe therapy should be a place where you feel safe to take up all space you need especially in a world that often tells us to shrink or quiet ourselves. I’ve worked with people from many different backgrounds, supporting them through life’s challenges like academic/professional changes, chronic illness, trauma, and anxiety. My goal is to create an this space with you where you can explore what’s on your mind and move forward without pressure or judgment.
Our first session is all about getting to know each other and building a sense of comfort and connection. I’ll invite you to share what’s been bringing you in, and there’s no pressure to have everything figured out. We'll talk about your story, explore your hopes or questions around therapy, and begin creating a space where you feel heard, respected, and supported.
Clients often tell me they feel genuinely seen and understood in our work together. I try to notice the things that are hard to put into words and create space for the parts of you that don’t always get attention. My approach is thoughtful and down to earth. I’m here to help you make sense of your experiences, challenge patterns that no longer serve you, and feel more grounded in who you are.
I work with individuals who may be hard on themselves and looking for a space to unpack what’s been weighing on them even if they’re not sure where to start. Many of my clients are navigating major life transitions, relationship patterns, anxiety, trauma, or identity questions. Some come in feeling overwhelmed or disconnected without clear therapy goals, and that’s completely okay; we’ll figure it out together. My approach blends evidence-based techniques with deep respect for each person’s unique experience, especially when shaped by cultural or generational dynamics. I’m here to support your growth and reflection at your own pace, with care and intention.
I believe we all deserve kindness, especially from ourselves. Compassion-focused therapy is about helping you slow down the inner critic and learn to treat yourself with patience and care, like you would a good friend. If you struggle with feeling not “good enough” or get caught in perfectionism, this approach can help you build a gentler, stronger relationship with yourself that supports healing and growth.
DBT offers a set of practical skills to help manage strong emotions, navigate relationship challenges, and stay present in the moment. I often use DBT with clients who feel pulled in many emotional directions or struggle with setting boundaries. It provides tools for building emotional balance and feeling more in control, even when things feel overwhelming.
CPT is a structured, trauma-focused approach I use to help clients process difficult or painful experiences. We explore how trauma may have shaped beliefs about yourself, others, and the world and how those beliefs might be keeping you stuck. It offers a gentle but focused way to challenge those patterns and rebuild your sense of safety, worth, and understanding.
I’ve been incorporating some foundational IFS ideas into my work, especially for clients who feel like different “parts” of them are in conflict. You might have a part that wants to speak up and another that shuts down or a part that feels stuck in the past. IFS offers a compassionate way to understand these parts without judgment. I’m continuing to grow in this approach and love how it helps clients build a more gentle relationship with themselves.
I use CBT to help clients understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. It’s especially helpful when anxiety, self-doubt, or overthinking start taking over. Together, we identify unhelpful patterns and practice more supportive ways of thinking and responding. It’s not about “thinking positive,” but about gaining clarity and more choice in how you move through the world.
