In our first session together, here's what you can expect
The first session is usually a "get to know you" session. We'll cover introductions, current challenges, expectations for therapy, some basic background information, possible goals moving forward, and whether the therapist-client fit feels right.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
As a provider, I strive to create a space that is supportive, compassionate, and free of judgment. My goal is for clients to feel comfortable and genuinely heard. I bring a strengths-based approach to therapy, viewing challenges as puzzles we can work through together, and I enjoy thinking creatively and outside the box to help clients find meaningful solutions.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I enjoy working with clients of all ages, life stages, and worldviews. In our work together, I focus on helping you recognize what's already working for you and how to build on those strengths to overcome obstacles increase resilience, and create meaningful change.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts patterns, understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and develop practice coping skills. My approach is collaborative, goal-oriented, and flexible, combining structure with a supportive, client-centered pace. I focus on providing tools clients can use both in and outside of sessions to promote lasting change.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I use DBT-informed strategies to help clients manage intense emotions, build coping skills, and improve relationships. My approach balances validation and change, teaching practical skills in mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness, tailored to each client's needs.
