I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida with over 28 years experience in the counseling field. I hold an Ed.D. in Counseling Psychology and have worked with clients ages 3 to 70 from diverse backgrounds and life experiences. My approach blends compassion with a practical, solution-focused mindset. I support individuals and families with concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, OCD, parenting challenges, and LGBTQIA+ related issues, offering a safe, collaborative space for growth and healing.
The first session is usually a "get to know you" session. We'll cover introductions, current challenges, expectations for therapy, some basic background information, possible goals moving forward, and whether the therapist-client fit feels right.
As a provider, I strive to create a space that is supportive, compassionate, and free of judgment. My goal is for clients to feel comfortable and genuinely heard. I bring a strengths-based approach to therapy, viewing challenges as puzzles we can work through together, and I enjoy thinking creatively and outside the box to help clients find meaningful solutions.
I enjoy working with clients of all ages, life stages, and worldviews. In our work together, I focus on helping you recognize what's already working for you and how to build on those strengths to overcome obstacles increase resilience, and create meaningful change.
