Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In the first session, clients can expect a warm, supportive, and collaborative environment where they are encouraged to share their story at their own pace. I focus on getting to know the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—while gaining an understanding of the concerns that bring them to therapy. We will discuss goals for therapy, explore what clients hope to gain from the process, and identify any immediate needs or challenges. I also take time to explain how therapy works and answer any questions, so clients leave the session with a sense of clarity, safety, and direction. The goal of the first session is to establish trust, outline a path forward, and begin creating a plan that supports meaningful and sustainable change.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths lie in my integrative, biopsychosocial approach and my ability to build strong therapeutic relationships. I bring a warm, personable, and approachable presence to therapy, which helps clients feel comfortable and supported from the very beginning. I am skilled at building rapport quickly, allowing clients to feel understood and safe as we explore both immediate concerns and deeper patterns affecting their well-being. With specialized training in health psychology, I effectively integrate evidence-based interventions while addressing the connections between mind, body, and spirit. This balanced approach supports meaningful insight, practical change, and long-term resilience.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with adults who are eager to improve their overall wellbeing, but don't yet have the tools needed to make this goal a reality. They often feel stuck, overwhelmed and anxious. I specialize in solution-focused brief psychotherapy treatment.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I've been using ACT for the past 3 years as a way to increase psychological flexibility and encouraged accepting thoughts and feelings without judgement while committing to actions that align with personal values.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I’ve been using CBT for the past six years. It’s helped several of clients challenge reoccurring thoughts and manage their anxiety. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. That knowledge will then be utilized to challenge your thinking patterns, which will help you promote an overall better quality of life.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I specialize in using solution focused brief treatment to identify a desired future, set goals, and develop steps to achieve them, emphasizing my client's strengths and resources.

Faith based therapy

I specialize in utilizing my client's faith-based beliefs to promote overall mind and spiritual wellness.

Motivational Interviewing

I utilize motivational interviewing often to challenge and guide you in achieving your goals.
