About me

Hi! I have over 13 years of clinical nursing experience and I am a current board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I am also a retired United States Air Force Combat Veteran. My experience in emergency and behavioral health nursing; coupled with my military service allows me to have a unique understanding of the challenges and experiences faced by individuals who have served in a first-responder capacity. I prescribe medicine using a holistic approach and offer both pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical options. I do not prescribe controlled medications for daily use.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, we will go through a comprehensive mental health assessment so I can gather information to identify and diagnose mental health conditions. I am specifically concerned with your behavioral health concerns, previous medications, if applicable, and what you have tried or would like to try. We will discuss your individual needs as well as your overall health concerns. We will work together on a care plan that fits your needs.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My personal experiences in combat locations and working emergency medicine has provided me a unique ability to understand what clients are going through. It is my passion to help others live better lives, especially my brothers and sisters in arms. My primary specialty is medication management for behavioral health concerns. I prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, both pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical to address symptoms and improve overall mental health. I also work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic and coordinated care.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with women, medical staff, veterans and other first-responders. As a combat Veteran I understand what it is like to be thrust into a difficult situation and how those situations can have a huge impact on our relationships, our stress levels, our sleep, and most importantly our overall wellbeing.

I feel a strong connection to Kim. I feel that I’m talking to a dear friend that just lets me vent and in return I get excellent advice. Kim always gives me words of encouragement, support and I know she wants nothing but the best for me. Since I started seeing Kim, my outlook on life has drastically changed. I am much happier, I am stronger and truly believe in myself. I can’t even begin to thank her for all she’s done for me!
