New to Grow
Hello, I am Irma Paredez, a Licensed Professional Counselor. Are you ready for a happier and more fulfilling life? I strive to create a warm and supportive environment through genuineness, empathy, and positive regard as a therapist. My goal is to develop a therapeutic relationship with my clients built on trust and mutual respect. I implement an eclectic approach to develop individually tailored treatment plans for my clients. I am experienced in working with children, adolescents, teens, adults, and families that are dealing with depression, anxiety, PTSD, Trauma, ADHD, conduct disorders, low self-esteem, Attachment issues, Adjustment Disorders, Marital Conflict, Parent-Child Relational issues, bereavement, and other mental health disorders. I am aware of the cultural diversity of my clientele, and I am sensitive to the struggles they encounter daily, such as language barriers, adjustment, and overall acculturation. Therefore, I aim to understand and validate their worldview regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, and sexual orientation, by being open-minded and learning about their culture and beliefs while adapting to their needs. I also provide counseling services in English and Spanish. Thank you!
Your first counseling session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a comfortable, supportive relationship. During this session, we will talk about what brings you to counseling, any concerns or challenges you are experiencing, and the goals you hope to achieve. I may ask questions about different areas of your life, such as your relationships, work, school, health, and personal history, to better understand your experiences and needs. You are welcome to share at your own pace, and there is no pressure to discuss anything you are not ready to talk about. We will also review confidentiality, answer any questions you may have, and discuss how counseling can support you moving forward. My goal is to provide a safe, respectful, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard and supported.
What helps me be effective in the work I do is my genuine passion for helping others and my commitment to building trusting relationships. I understand that seeking counseling can feel difficult, so I focus on making clients feel heard, respected, and understood. My experience working with individuals from different ages, cultures, and life circumstances has taught me the importance of meeting each person where they are and tailoring support to their unique needs. I am dedicated to helping clients develop insight, resilience, and confidence as they work toward positive change.
I work with children, teens, adults, older adults, and couples, ages 5 to 95. I help people who are experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, life transitions, low self-esteem, behavioral concerns, and challenges related to family, school, or work. My approach is integrative, which means I tailor therapy to each person's unique needs rather than using a one-size-fits-all method. I am best suited for clients who want a supportive, compassionate space to talk openly, learn practical coping skills, improve relationships, build confidence, and work toward meaningful personal growth. Whether you are facing a specific challenge or simply want to better understand yourself and improve your overall well-being, I will work alongside you to help you achieve your goals at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

My integrative counseling approach is grounded in creating a warm, empathetic, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. I draw from person-centered, cognitive-behavioral, trauma-informed, strengths-based, mindfulness, and solution-focused interventions to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs, goals, and circumstances. I emphasize building resilience, enhancing emotional regulation, strengthening coping skills, promoting self-care and assertive communication, and empowering clients to recognize their strengths while fostering meaningful and lasting personal growth.
