Hi—Hola. I’m Andrea, and I’m truly glad you’re here. For more than nine years, I’ve walked alongside people as they navigate anxiety, childhood and adult trauma, depression, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions. As someone who has also lived through trauma, I understand how it can stay in the body and nervous system—appearing as overthinking, people-pleasing, perfectionism, or a persistent sense of never being “enough.” You do not have to move through this alone. My style is trauma-informed, warm, and bilingual (English/Spanish), and I use an eclectic therapeutic approach tailored to your unique needs. I focus on childhood trauma and attachment wounds, and I support clients in reconnecting with their bodies as an essential part of healing. Together, we’ll explore your story through attachment-based approaches, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and parts work, emotion regulation, mindfulness, inner-child work, and mind-body techniques. I also integrate coping skills and self-esteem building to support your overall well-being. If it aligns with you, we can incorporate spirituality and energy-based practices to deepen healing and self-trust. My goal is to offer a steady, supportive space where you can set down what feels heavy, learn tools that truly work for you—like setting boundaries, cultivating a kinder inner voice, and creating healthier relationship patterns—and move toward lasting change at a pace that feels safe and manageable.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, my main intention is for you to feel welcomed, safe, and comfortable. We’ll start by talking about what’s bringing you in and what you’re hoping to get from therapy—no pressure, just space to show up honestly. I’ll also explain what it’s like to work with me, answer any questions you have, and review the basics (like confidentiality and how sessions are structured) so everything feels clear and predictable. We’ll then do a brief grounding exercise to help you settle in and reconnect with your body and breath. From there, we’ll gently clarify your goals and choose one small, realistic step you can take right away. My hope is that you’ll leave the session knowing what to expect moving forward—and with something supportive and meaningful to carry with you between sessions.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My priority is that you feel you can come in exactly as you are—no masks, no pressure to be “fine” or to clean things up before you walk through the door. I offer a quiet, steady space where the full range of your experience is welcome, and where you can slow down enough to notice what you’re feeling and what you need, especially in moments that feel intense, confusing, or overwhelming. I combine that warmth with clear structure and intention. Together, we’ll clarify what you’re hoping for, name patterns that keep showing up, and break things down into steps that feel manageable. You’ll have room to be deeply understood and emotionally held, while also having a sense of direction, so sessions don’t feel like “just venting.” My work is trauma-informed and holistic: we pay attention not only to your thoughts, but also to your body, emotions, and deeper values, within the real context of your life—your family history, culture, identities, work, and community. My style is gentle yet direct and honest; I’ll reflect what I notice, ask thoughtful questions, and offer feedback and tools, so you don’t feel lost in the process. Over time, the goal is that you leave sessions with increasing clarity about yourself, a stronger internal foundation, and a clearer sense of what we’re working toward together.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I truly believe I'm best positioned to connect with and support individual teens and adults who find themselves navigating the often challenging waters of anxiety, childhood and adult trauma, depression, relationship difficulties, and significant life transitions. If you've ever felt that heavy weight of overthinking, the pull of people-pleasing, the pressure of perfectionism, or that deep sense of not quite being enough, especially as echoes of past trauma and unresolved attachment patterns, then we might be a wonderful fit. I'm here for those who are ready to step into a steady, supportive space—one that's trauma-informed, warm, and bilingual in English and Spanish. My approach truly resonates with individuals eager to explore their story through the lens of attachment, connect with their bodies, and discover tools like healthy boundaries, a kinder inner voice, and more fulfilling relationship patterns. We'll work together, gently and holistically, incorporating attachment-based methods, emotion regulation, mindfulness, inner-child work, and mind-body techniques, and if it feels right, even spirituality. My hope is to help you move towards lasting change at a pace that feels safe and truly yours.

My treatment methods

Attachment-based

When early relationship wounds leave you feeling guarded or disconnected, attachment-based therapy offers a compassionate pathway back to safety and connection. I blend trauma-informed principles with gentle exploration of your earliest bonding experiences—helping you notice the patterns that keep you stuck and practice new, more secure ways of relating. In our sessions, you’ll be met with warmth and empathy as we move at your pace—uncovering old “security scripts,” experimenting with corrective relational exercises, and strengthening your inner sense of trust. If you’re ready to heal attachment injuries and build more fulfilling connections—with yourself and others—I’m here to support you every step of the way.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

When life feels overwhelming and your mind won’t let you rest, mindfulness-based therapy offers a gentle pathway back to yourself. With seven years of guiding children, adults, and families, I blend trauma-informed care with simple breath and body-awareness practices, meeting you exactly where you are. In our sessions, you’ll experience genuine warmth and compassion as we move at your pace—exploring tools like mindful breathing, body scans, and grounding exercises that you can carry into everyday moments. If you’re ready to slow down, reconnect with your present experience, and cultivate lasting calm, I’m here to support you every step of the way.

Trauma Informed Care

I know how overwhelming it can feel when past hurts keep replaying in your mind and body—you’re not alone, and there is hope. Drawing on my own journey through complex trauma and nine years of guiding children, adults, and families, I blend trauma-informed care and somatic therapy to gently help you reconnect with safety in your body and clarity in your mind. In our work together, you’ll always be met with warmth, respect, and understanding as we move at your pace, explore practical skills, and build a toolkit you can rely on. If you’re ready to take that next step toward freedom and resilience, I’m here to walk beside you.

Narrative

When the stories you tell yourself feel stuck in a loop of pain or self-doubt, narrative therapy can help you rewrite those chapters. With seven years of supporting children, adults, and families, I weave trauma-informed care into narrative techniques that gently separate you from unhelpful beliefs. In our sessions, you’ll be met with genuine warmth and curiosity as we explore the themes and voices shaping your life story—identifying strengths, honoring resilience, and crafting new, empowering narratives you choose to live by. If you’re ready to turn the page on old patterns and embrace a story of growth and possibility, I’m here to walk alongside you.

Eclectic

I use an eclectic treatment approach, drawing from IFS/parts work, CBT, inner child healing, trauma-informed, body-centered practices, and other research-based modalities. I don’t believe any single method is perfectly aligned with every client or every phase of healing, so I intentionally pull from several approaches to build a comprehensive, holistic plan that fits you as an individual—not a one-size-fits-all model. Together, we might explore your “parts,” reframe unhelpful thought patterns, work gently with the body and nervous system, and tend to early wounds that still shape present-day reactions. Because healing is multifaceted, I pay attention to your emotional, cognitive, relational, and somatic experience, and, when clients feel drawn to it, we can also thoughtfully integrate spiritual or energetic tools. Throughout our work, I collaborate closely with you—checking in about what’s helping, what isn’t, and what feels most resonant—so we can continually refine our approach. My goal is to create a flexible, responsive therapeutic space that honors your complexity and supports meaningful, sustainable change.
