Hi—Hola. I’m Andrea, I’m truly glad you’re here. For over nine years, I have supported teens and adults navigating anxiety, childhood and adult trauma, depression, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. Having personally experienced trauma, I deeply understand how it can live in the body and nervous system—showing up as overthinking, people-pleasing, perfectionism, or feeling like you’re never quite enough. You are not alone in this journey. My approach is trauma-informed, warm, and bilingual (English/Spanish). I specialize in working with childhood trauma and attachment wounds, and I help clients connect with their bodies as part of the healing process. Together, we’ll explore your story through attachment-based methods, emotion regulation, mindfulness, inner-child work, and mind-body techniques. I also integrate coping skills and self-esteem building to support your overall well-being. If it feels right for you, we can incorporate spirituality and energy-based practices to deepen healing and self-trust. My goal is to provide a steady, supportive space where you can set down what feels heavy, learn tools that truly work for you—like setting boundaries, cultivating a kinder inner voice, and creating healthier relationship patterns—and move toward lasting change at a pace that feels safe and manageable.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, my main intention is for you to feel welcomed, safe, and comfortable. We’ll start by talking about what’s bringing you in and what you’re hoping to get from therapy—no pressure, just space to show up honestly. I’ll also explain what it’s like to work with me, answer any questions you have, and review the basics (like confidentiality and how sessions are structured) so everything feels clear and predictable. We’ll then do a brief grounding exercise to help you settle in and reconnect with your body and breath. From there, we’ll gently clarify your goals and choose one small, realistic step you can take right away. My hope is that you’ll leave the session knowing what to expect moving forward—and with something supportive and meaningful to carry with you between sessions.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
What stands out about my approach is that I meet you exactly where you are—judgment-free—so you can show up as yourself without pressure to be “okay” or have it all figured out. I bring a calm, steady presence that helps you feel safe, seen, and supported, especially when life feels heavy or overwhelming. My work blends warmth with structure. You’ll feel emotionally held while also having clear direction, so sessions feel grounding and purposeful. I’m trauma-informed and holistic, which means we look at the whole you—your body, mind, and heart—within the context of your real life (family, culture, work, and community). I’m gentle, but I’m also direct and honest, so you don’t feel lost in the process—and you leave with clarity on what we’re working toward.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work best with clients who have experienced childhood or adult trauma, attachment wounds, and who are living with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, people-pleasing, difficulty setting boundaries, or repeating relationship patterns. Many clients I see have spent years in survival mode, adapting to trauma by becoming highly sensitive or overly responsible. These adaptations can show up as overthinking, perfectionism, freezing, hypervigilance, guilt, shame, or difficulty trusting themselves and others. You might be facing challenges such as: -Anxiety, burnout, shame, or pressure to be “enough” -People-pleasing, guilt when saying no, fear of conflict, or codependency -High functioning externally but feeling overwhelmed inside -Repeating unhealthy relationship patterns or insecure attachment -Major life transitions like parenthood or career changes -Stress-related physical symptoms like tension, sleep issues, or feeling shut down We’ll move at your pace with trauma-informed, consent-based care. We start by creating stability and practical tools to help you feel safer and more grounded. From there, we gently explore attachment healing, inner-child work, narrative reframing, boundary setting, and self-compassion skills—so the changes you experience are not just intellectual but deeply felt and lived. If it resonates, we can also weave in spirituality in a way that aligns with your beliefs and needs. I primarily work with women but warmly welcome clients of all backgrounds and identities. I do not turn anyone away unless I feel I am not equipped or lack the expertise to provide the best care for your unique needs. I’m not here to “fix” you. I’m here to walk alongside you with honesty, compassion, and respect as you reconnect with your voice, your worth, and your ability to choose yourself. You are allowed to be messy. You are allowed to take up space. And you are absolutely allowed to heal.
Attachment-based
When early relationship wounds leave you feeling guarded or disconnected, attachment-based therapy offers a compassionate pathway back to safety and connection. I blend trauma-informed principles with gentle exploration of your earliest bonding experiences—helping you notice the patterns that keep you stuck and practice new, more secure ways of relating. In our sessions, you’ll be met with warmth and empathy as we move at your pace—uncovering old “security scripts,” experimenting with corrective relational exercises, and strengthening your inner sense of trust. If you’re ready to heal attachment injuries and build more fulfilling connections—with yourself and others—I’m here to support you every step of the way.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
When life feels overwhelming and your mind won’t let you rest, mindfulness-based therapy offers a gentle pathway back to yourself. With seven years of guiding children, adults, and families, I blend trauma-informed care with simple breath and body-awareness practices, meeting you exactly where you are. In our sessions, you’ll experience genuine warmth and compassion as we move at your pace—exploring tools like mindful breathing, body scans, and grounding exercises that you can carry into everyday moments. If you’re ready to slow down, reconnect with your present experience, and cultivate lasting calm, I’m here to support you every step of the way.
Trauma Informed Care
I know how overwhelming it can feel when past hurts keep replaying in your mind and body—you’re not alone, and there is hope. Drawing on my own journey through complex trauma and nine years of guiding children, adults, and families, I blend trauma-informed care and somatic therapy to gently help you reconnect with safety in your body and clarity in your mind. In our work together, you’ll always be met with warmth, respect, and understanding as we move at your pace, explore practical skills, and build a toolkit you can rely on. If you’re ready to take that next step toward freedom and resilience, I’m here to walk beside you.
Narrative
When the stories you tell yourself feel stuck in a loop of pain or self-doubt, narrative therapy can help you rewrite those chapters. With seven years of supporting children, adults, and families, I weave trauma-informed care into narrative techniques that gently separate you from unhelpful beliefs. In our sessions, you’ll be met with genuine warmth and curiosity as we explore the themes and voices shaping your life story—identifying strengths, honoring resilience, and crafting new, empowering narratives you choose to live by. If you’re ready to turn the page on old patterns and embrace a story of growth and possibility, I’m here to walk alongside you.
Eclectic
Drawing on years of guiding children and adults, I blend trauma-informed care with gentle, body-centered practices—like tracking physical sensations, guided movement, and grounding rituals—to help you uncover where emotions live and how to soothe them. In our sessions, you’ll be met with genuine warmth and safety as we move at your pace, honoring your body’s signals and co-creating tools you can use anytime you need to feel more present and at ease. If you’re ready to listen to your body’s story and find healing from the inside out, I’m here to support you every step of the way.
