Hi—Hola. I’m Andrea, and I’m truly glad you’re here. For over nine years, I have walked alongside people as they navigate anxiety, childhood and adult trauma, depression, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions. Because I have my own lived experience with trauma, I deeply understand how it can stay in the body and nervous system—often showing up as overthinking, people-pleasing, perfectionism, or that heavy, persistent feeling of never being quite “enough.” My therapeutic style is warm, trauma-informed, and bilingual (English/Spanish). My clinical expertise is focused on supporting clients through depression and anxiety, healing childhood trauma, repairing attachment wounds, and helping you gently reconnect with your body as a vital part of your healing. My hope is to offer you a steady, supportive space where you can set down what feels heavy. Together, we will work at a pace that feels safe and manageable for you, building tools that truly help—like setting loving boundaries, nurturing a kinder inner voice, and creating healthier, more fulfilling relationship patterns. Because finding the right therapist is such a deeply personal and important part of your journey, I want to make sure I am the best possible fit for you. As much as I would love to help everyone who reaches out, ethically and professionally, I cannot. It is my responsibility to ensure you get the exact care you need and deserve. With that in mind, I invite you to read through my full profile. At the bottom, you will see a list of diagnoses and concerns that fall outside of my clinical expertise. If what you are going through right now is on that list, I encourage you to seek out a provider whose specialties speak directly to your needs. You truly deserve to be supported by someone who is fully equipped to guide you.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, my main intention is for you to feel welcomed, safe, and comfortable. We’ll start by talking about what’s bringing you in and what you’re hoping to get from therapy—no pressure, just space to show up honestly. I’ll also explain what it’s like to work with me, answer any questions you have, and review the basics (like confidentiality and how sessions are structured) so everything feels clear and predictable. We’ll then do a brief grounding exercise to help you settle in and reconnect with your body and breath. From there, we’ll gently clarify your goals and choose one small, realistic step you can take right away. My hope is that you’ll leave the session knowing what to expect moving forward—and with something supportive and meaningful to carry with you between sessions.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My priority is that you feel you can come in exactly as you are—no masks, no pressure to be “fine” or to clean things up before you walk through the door. I offer a quiet, steady space where the full range of your experience is welcome, and where you can slow down enough to notice what you’re feeling and what you need, especially in moments that feel intense, confusing, or overwhelming. I combine that warmth with clear structure and intention. Together, we’ll clarify what you’re hoping for, name patterns that keep showing up, and break things down into steps that feel manageable. You’ll have room to be deeply understood and emotionally held, while also having a sense of direction, so sessions don’t feel like “just venting.” My work is trauma-informed and holistic: we pay attention not only to your thoughts, but also to your body, emotions, and deeper values, within the real context of your life—your family history, culture, identities, work, and community. My style is gentle yet direct and honest; I’ll reflect what I notice, ask thoughtful questions, and offer feedback and tools, so you don’t feel lost in the process. Over time, the goal is that you leave sessions with increasing clarity about yourself, a stronger internal foundation, and a clearer sense of what we’re working toward together.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My practice is uniquely suited for "cycle-breakers"—individuals doing the brave work of changing generational patterns. Often, the clients I support hold everything together beautifully on the outside but feel exhausted from carrying the emotional weight for everyone else. I work alongside individuals at all stages of healing. Some are stepping into therapy for the first time, beginning to untangle their past. Others have engaged in traditional therapy and intellectually understand their experiences, but now seek to truly process and release those emotions from the body. Ultimately, they share a readiness to transition from simply surviving their story to actively healing. This space is designed for those tired of having to be the "strong one." It is a place to be human, vulnerable, and supported without needing all the answers. The most meaningful work happens with individuals curious about their inner world, open to the mind-body connection, and ready to embrace self-compassion.

My treatment methods

Attachment-based

When early relationship wounds leave you feeling guarded or disconnected, attachment-based therapy offers a compassionate pathway back to safety and connection. I blend trauma-informed principles with gentle exploration of your earliest bonding experiences—helping you notice the patterns that keep you stuck and practice new, more secure ways of relating. In our sessions, you’ll be met with warmth and empathy as we move at your pace—uncovering old “security scripts,” experimenting with corrective relational exercises, and strengthening your inner sense of trust. If you’re ready to heal attachment injuries and build more fulfilling connections—with yourself and others—I’m here to support you every step of the way.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

When life feels overwhelming and your mind won’t let you rest, mindfulness-based therapy offers a gentle pathway back to yourself. With seven years of guiding children, adults, and families, I blend trauma-informed care with simple breath and body-awareness practices, meeting you exactly where you are. In our sessions, you’ll experience genuine warmth and compassion as we move at your pace—exploring tools like mindful breathing, body scans, and grounding exercises that you can carry into everyday moments. If you’re ready to slow down, reconnect with your present experience, and cultivate lasting calm, I’m here to support you every step of the way.

Trauma Informed Care

I know how overwhelming it can feel when past hurts keep replaying in your mind and body—you’re not alone, and there is hope. Drawing on my own journey through complex trauma and nine years of guiding children, adults, and families, I blend trauma-informed care and somatic therapy to gently help you reconnect with safety in your body and clarity in your mind. In our work together, you’ll always be met with warmth, respect, and understanding as we move at your pace, explore practical skills, and build a toolkit you can rely on. If you’re ready to take that next step toward freedom and resilience, I’m here to walk beside you.

Eclectic

I use an eclectic treatment approach, drawing from IFS/parts work, CBT, inner child healing, trauma-informed, body-centered practices, and other research-based modalities. I don’t believe any single method is perfectly aligned with every client or every phase of healing, so I intentionally pull from several approaches to build a comprehensive, holistic plan that fits you as an individual—not a one-size-fits-all model. Together, we might explore your “parts,” reframe unhelpful thought patterns, work gently with the body and nervous system, and tend to early wounds that still shape present-day reactions. Because healing is multifaceted, I pay attention to your emotional, cognitive, relational, and somatic experience, and, when clients feel drawn to it, we can also thoughtfully integrate spiritual or energetic tools. Throughout our work, I collaborate closely with you—checking in about what’s helping, what isn’t, and what feels most resonant—so we can continually refine our approach. My goal is to create a flexible, responsive therapeutic space that honors your complexity and supports meaningful, sustainable change.

Only amazing things to say about Andrea. After every session, I left feeling lighter and more at peace. She always met me where I was, giving me space to talk through whatever I was struggling with most that week, even if it meant setting aside our planned topics. I never felt like she was just checking boxes—she truly cared. I’m grateful she recommended a postpartum specialist when I needed one most, and I’m so thankful for her support. I wholeheartedly recommend her.

Andrea has been a light in my life, she has brought peace in to my life and ease a lot of the tension and weight I’ve been carrying on my back and heart. She has given me the space to talk openly and express my self, without feeling judge but rather be heard and understand. I have even recommended her to friends. She is an amazing therapist.
