Hello my name is Adrianne Banks. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. I received my Bachelors from Texas Southern University and my Masters from Our Lady of the Lake University. I have been successfully and comfortably working with families/couples/individuals from all ethnic and socio economic backgrounds.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
Having worked in the field for over 20 years I have successfully developed the ability to inspire /restore hope in a genuine manner. This translates to my clients not feeling like I am just a paid provider but a person that sincerely cares about their well-being while remaining professional.
I have over 20yrs experience working with individuals and their families facing the challenges of addiction, blended families and various other relationship/family issues. I am direct and solution focused however I am here to provide you with a safe space to process your thoughts and feelings as well. I strive to empower my clients to overcome the obstacles that are preventing them from living their fullest life in a respectful and non-judgmental manner.
Cognitive behavioral therapy hinges on the concept that our thoughts and behaviors are linked. By assisting my clients in changing their thoughts, they can change the behaviors creating positive outcomes.
Often clients are not in need of help with deeply rooted issues that require intense therapy rather they are looking for practical solutions/insights that can be readily implemented. SFBT is the tool I most often use to provide my clients with the agency needed to overcome their obstacles.

Ms. Banks is very friendly and direct. She is humorous and empowering. She takes the time to explain what she means so that you can understand. I am very impressed with her as a therapist. At first, I didn't know what to expect, I just took a chance at choosing her. I am satisfied and happy that I did. Thank you!
