(she/her)
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in helping individuals struggling with OCD, intrusive thoughts, and trauma. If you feel stuck in “what if” fears, mental loops, emotional overwhelm, or patterns that are hard to change, you’re not alone and effective help is available. Taking the first step toward therapy is an act of courage, and I’m here to support you every step of the way. I believe in meeting you where you are and tailoring my approach to fit your unique needs. I use evidence-based approaches like Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the gold standard for OCD, along with CBT and DBT to help you break free from these cycles and process past experiences. My approach is warm, structured, and focused on helping you build practical skills so you can feel more in control, grounded, and confident in your daily life. Together, we’ll create a space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to move forward with clarity and confidence.
In your first session, we’ll focus on getting a clear understanding of what’s bringing you to therapy and what you’d like to change or improve. I’ll ask questions about your current challenges, your history, and how your symptoms are showing up in your daily life. We’ll also begin identifying patterns, such as intrusive thoughts, anxiety cycles, or the impact of past experiences, so we can start building a plan that feels manageable and tailored to you. My approach is collaborative and structured, so you can expect both support and direction. By the end of the session, you’ll have a better understanding of what’s going on and a clear idea of how we can move forward together.
My greatest strengths are providing structured, evidence-based care while maintaining a warm and supportive environment. I specialize in treating OCD, anxiety, and trauma using approaches like ERP, CBT, and DBT, which are proven to create meaningful and lasting change. I focus on helping clients break out of intrusive thought patterns, reduce compulsive behaviors, and build practical skills they can use in everyday life. Clients often appreciate that our work is both compassionate and goal oriented, offering clarity, direction, and real progress rather than just talk.
I’m best positioned to work with individuals who are struggling with OCD, intrusive thoughts, anxiety, or trauma and feel stuck in patterns that are hard to break. Many of my clients experience overthinking, “what if” fears, compulsive behaviors, or emotional overwhelm that interferes with their daily life and relationships. My ideal clients are open to a structured, skills based approach and are ready to better understand their patterns and make meaningful changes. They don’t have to have everything figured out, but they are willing to engage in the process and try new strategies. I’m especially a good fit for those who want more than just a space to talk and are looking for practical tools to feel more in control, build confidence, and move forward in a more grounded and intentional way.
Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)
I have experience using Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the gold standard treatment for OCD, to help clients reduce intrusive thoughts and break free from compulsive behaviors. I work with clients to gradually face feared situations or thoughts in a structured and supportive way while learning to resist compulsions and reassurance seeking. My approach to ERP is collaborative, paced, and tailored to each client’s needs. We build a hierarchy together, practice exposures both in and outside of sessions, and focus on helping you tolerate discomfort without trying to eliminate it. Over time, this reduces anxiety and helps you regain a sense of control and confidence in your daily life.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I have experience working with anxiety, OCD, and trauma, helping clients identify unhelpful thinking patterns such as overthinking, catastrophizing, and self doubt that keep them feeling stuck. My approach to CBT is structured, collaborative, and practical. Together, we challenge unhelpful thoughts, test new perspectives, and build coping strategies that can be used in everyday situations. I focus on helping clients create real, lasting change by developing skills that reduce distress and increase confidence over time.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients build skills for managing intense emotions, reducing distress, and improving relationships. I have experience working with individuals who feel overwhelmed, struggle with emotional regulation, or find themselves reacting in ways they later regret. My approach to DBT is structured, supportive, and skills focused. I teach practical tools such as mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness so you can navigate difficult situations with more confidence and control. The goal is to help you feel more balanced, grounded, and able to respond to challenges rather than react to them.
Cognitive Processing (CPT)
I use Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) to help clients process and heal from trauma, especially when past experiences continue to impact thoughts, emotions, and beliefs about themselves, others, or the world. I have experience working with individuals who feel stuck in patterns of guilt, shame, fear, or self blame related to traumatic events. My approach to CPT is structured, collaborative, and insight focused. Together, we identify and challenge unhelpful beliefs that developed after trauma and work toward more balanced, accurate ways of thinking. This process helps reduce distress, improve emotional regulation, and support a greater sense of safety, clarity, and control in your life.
Attachment-based
I use an attachment based approach to help clients understand how early relationships and past experiences shape the way they connect with others and view themselves. I have experience working with individuals who struggle with trust, fear of abandonment, emotional closeness, or patterns that repeat in relationships. My approach is warm, supportive, and insight focused. Together, we explore these patterns, build awareness, and work toward creating more secure and healthy ways of relating. I also focus on helping you develop a stronger sense of self, improve emotional safety, and build more fulfilling and stable relationships.

Robin is truly a kind and thoughtful person. Even when I know I can be a lot, she meets me with warmth and a great sense of humor. She listens openly, never judges, and consistently shows up with genuine humility. I’m so grateful for her.

I have experience in therapy so I really believed there wasn't much left for me to learn about myself until I started sessions with Robin. I love all the skills I'm learning and how much I'm still learning about myself thru attachment history/styles. I feel like unlocking subconscious patterns I can change many things about how I view the world and others.
