In our first session together, we'll get to know each other a bit. In our first session, we explore a bit about what gave you the courage to make this initial call and determine if our fit is a good one for your needs. If so, together we create a plan for our work moving forward.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths are my relatability and my professionalism. I comfortably engage with people from all walks of life, across different cultures and social economic backgrounds. My treatment methods

Compassion Focused

My goal is to provide a soft place for the weary teacher, parent, nurse or any type of caregiver to land. Over the course of my 25 year career serving students with special needs, I have simultaneously provided support to teachers, related service staff, parents and caregivers. My work often led me to question, "who cares for the care-giver? Who is seeing to it that their individual and unique needs are being met, beyond their role as caregiver?" I have learned to hold space for caregivers, providing an empathetic, but experienced listening ear. I am empathetic to the unique stressors and challenges you may be facing as a working mom, professional caregiver (i.e. teacher, nurse or social worker) or as the caretaker of an aging parent. I support you in learning tools and strategies to help lighten your mental and emotional load. With an empathetic and non-judgemental approach, I skillfully and compassionately support every type of caregiver from the new mother to the person providing care for an elderly family member. Utilizing an eclectic approach, I seek to help the single working parent and the kinship caregiver restore balance, renew wellness and re-prioritize their well-being in order for them to be the best they can be for those in their care. We may not be able to control everything that is going on around us, but I believe that we each have the capacity, given the proper support, to better navigate the day to day challenges we face as we care for others.
