Hey, Good afternoon, my is Francis Haggerty, I have been a licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) since 2011 and have worked with a variety of clients to improve their self-esteem, confidence, and overall development. I attained my MSS from Bryn Mawr Graduate School in 2002 and my MBA from Holy Family University in 2008. I have worked with Veterans through the Department of Veterans Affairs since 2011. I love working with both men and women to resolve ongoing conflicts and stressors.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Together, we will identify your challenges and goals - where you want your life to be a month, six months, a year from now. Then, we'll identify options and strategies you can use to get there. You'll leave the session with a better understanding of what you're facing with an "actions I can take right now" approach. There will always be room for suggestions concerning our work together, including keeping each other accountable.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My ability to listen, empathize, and identify root causes are among my greatest strengths. I will work with you to develop a comprehensive personal develop plan that will provide you with coping mechanisms and emotional encouragement for you to achieve your goals.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Through discussions, we will gain a better understanding of the harmful behaviors/beliefs and identify coping strategies to improve confidence and mental stability

Strength-Based

The Strength-based therapy is a type of positive Psychotherapy and counseling that focues on your internal strengths and resourcefulness, rather then on your weaknesses, failures, and shortcomings. The tenet is that this focus sets up a positive mindset that helps you build on your best qualities, find your strengths, and change your world view to one that is more positive.

Positive Psychology

Positive Psychology is a branch of psychology focused on the character strengths and behaviors that allow individuals to build a life of meaning and purpose - to move beyond surviving to flourishing.
