D) and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in SC,PA and NJ, specializing in supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, personal growth, and self-esteem concerns. My approach is tailored to meet your unique needs, providing a safe and supportive space for exploration and healing. Together, we'll work collaboratively to address challenges and foster positive change. In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During the first session, you can look at the office and get comfortable. Together, we will review what was shared over the phone during the consultation and discuss other urgent concerns you have. We will begin to create a treatment plan together and set individual goals. Typical treatment per concern can take 1-6 sessions. Each person and situation are different, so that treatment can vary from person to person.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

During my 10-year+ career, I have worked in numerous treatment centers and agencies where clients were helped using specialized treatment modalities for targeted unresolved trauma, sexual abuse, domestic violence, eating disorders, depression/anxiety, grief, and loss. During therapy, skills are built over time and can be used in varying situations. The overall goal of treatment is to reduce overwhelming pain and discomfort, increase overall well-being, and improve the quality of care based on goals made by the client.

As an adult, you often wonder how to feel better. You have tried many things, yet there has been little to no lasting improvement. Your personality has changed, you have challenges with relationships, your interests have decreased, and you worry that things might worsen. You know that you have great potential to do great things, but the way things are going, the future looks bleak. Seeking help can be scary because you want to ensure you have someone you can talk to, but you feel like even this step is risky. Imagine what it would feel like not to constantly worry about your issues and to know you will ask for help when they need it. They would feel better about themselves, and you would feel better about your ability to handle difficult situations and get support when they need it.

I wish that I was able to pick more of what stands out about Dr. Ford. She's exactly what I needed from a therapist. Direct, open, active listener, kind, but also action oriented. I love that she challenges me and gets me out of my own head. Couldn't imagine getting help from anyone else.
