With my diverse life, solid academic, and professional experiences, combined with my intuitive and passionate nature, we’ll choose the right approach for you from my Integrative Therapy Tool-bag. YOU get to decide! As your therapist, we'll work together using Evidence Based Treatment (EBT)-Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, or any therapy to identify your concerns and the barriers that are keeping you from a more fulfilled life. By identifying and enhancing your strengths, we'll come up with solutions that work for you.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session will be mostly an exploratory, information gathering session, for example, what are your current concerns, complaints, symptoms, coping skills, support systems, but most importantly we will also get to know each other. I hope to make you feel heard, understood and comfortable. You will also be able to ask questions, voice goals and decide how you want to proceed and if the fit in working with me is right for you!

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As your provider you can expect unconditional acceptance and regard, in a non-judgmental, patient and supportive space just for you. Intuitive, compassionate, and genuine, I thrive on helping the client feel comfortable expressing their thoughts and feelings. My goal is to enhance each individual’s strengths so they can enjoy positive relationships and have a better and stronger sense of self.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

If it's symptoms of depression, anxiety, or your struggling with addiction, grief, life transitions, relationships, school or work-related issues, self-esteem and confidence, divorce, infidelity, women’s issues, family problems, or just feeling STUCK, we'll identify the problems and the triggers together, pinpoint your level of motivation and the barriers to work on creating practicable strategies, enhance your coping skills and your strengths to work through what is troubling you. YOU can do this and we can do it together!

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Actively working with the client's in identifying areas of concern, and in how our mal-adaptive thoughts influence our emotional responses and behaviors in order to change these thoughts and behaviors from negative to positive resulting in better outcomes improving quality of life.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

Using empathic exploration, validation and affirmation for troubling experiences for individuals, couples and families, with the intention to move unpleasant feelings to a position of self-affirmation, better communication and connection. When vulnerability is identified this often leads to self-affirmation, and this in turn often leads to the client feeling understood, hopeful, and stronger.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Helping the client recognize and become aware of thoughts, feelings, and emotions, as well as external environment and situations, holding off on automatic responses such as judgment or stress. By connecting the body and mind helps the client focus on learning how to be more aware of the body's cues and to reduce automatic responses.

Strength-Based

Clients take the lead by discussing problems with the belief is that every individual is unique and has their own inner strengths. By discovering the inner strengths clients can then tap into them in order to build solutions. Clients are encouraged to focus on internal strengths and resourcefulness, rather than on weaknesses, failures, and shortcomings. By concentrating and establishing a positive mindset, this helps the client build on their best qualities, strengths, improve resilience, and change their worldview to a more positive one.

Motivational Interviewing

By helping the client identify internal motivation needed to change problematic behaviors this in turn helps client resolve ambivalent feelings and insecurities about these behaviors and of change. This evidence-based, practical, empathetic, is short-term process and takes into consideration how difficult it is to make life changes.
