LMHC, 10 years of experience
Finding the right therapist can feel a lot like finding your favorite cozy sweater—it just needs to fit. I work closely with clients to build genuine rapport and create a space where they feel comfortable exploring life’s challenges. I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a master’s degree from the University of North Florida and ten years of clinical experience. I specialize in helping adults navigate major life transitions, manage burnout, and reconnect with their best selves. I look forward to meeting you and supporting your journey toward growth and balance.
During our first session, we’ll take a little time to get to know each other and talk through what’s been most challenging for you lately. This helps create a personalized plan that fits your goals and sets the foundation for the work we’ll do together in future sessions.
Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I help clients identify and shift negative thought patterns, develop healthy coping tools, and create lasting, positive change. I’ve had the privilege of working with military members and their dependents, as well as new and expecting mothers navigating the ups and downs of perinatal life. My goal is to provide a supportive, down-to-earth space where you can focus on healing, growth, and finding your footing again.
I work with individuals experiencing life transitions including military members and their loved ones, new moms adjusting to the demands of motherhood, and young adults stepping into post-college life. Change can be overwhelming, but you don’t have to face it alone. Together, we’ll build a practical toolbox of coping skills to help you manage stress, find your footing, and move forward with confidence.
I have been using CBT to help clients recognize the connection between their thoughts, behaviors, and feelings. These connections are then utilized to help assist the client improve their overall mood.
I have used mindfulness with clients to help them practice relaxing their bodies, minds, and thoughts.
I believe the client is the expert in their own life. Compassion and validation are used to assist the client with increasing their ability to cope with stressful situations.
I believe knowledge provides empowerment. Historically, I have provided psychoeducation to assist clients with understanding the symptoms they are experiencing and increasing their coping mechanisms.
I meet clients where they are at and work with them to sit with their emotions through mindfulness techniques.
