You are here because you want tomorrow to be better than today. You want your marriage to be better. You want your job and relationships to be more meaningful and satisfying. You want to be healthier and feel better about how you look and feel physically. You want tomorrow to be more joyful. You want to feel more alive. You want to love and be loved more deeply. You want more hope! You want to find a therapist who takes the time to know and understand you deeply. You want to find someone you can trust to help you find your better tomorrow. I will do everything within my power to get to know you and help you find your path to a better tomorrow. I will help you find what is not working today so that you can have a better tomorrow. I will help you develop plans to make your future hopes a reality. And I will help you develop the confidence in yourself that you’ll need to make it all happen. I believe that you have within you right now all that you need to have a better tomorrow. It may not be fully developed. It may be buried under the weight of trauma, disappointment, or limiting beliefs. But, it’s there. Let’s work together to find it, develop it, and make it happen. Here’s to your better tomorrow.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our initial 20-minute consultation, I will want to learn a little about your background and the concerns that have led you to seek therapy. I also want to learn about what you hope to accomplish in therapy and what you would like your life to be like when therapy concludes. I will also share a little bit about how I work, generally, and how I will help you address the concerns you bring to counseling. The most important thing for you to consider during this consultation session is, "Can Wade and I develop a good working relationship?" If the answer to this question is "No," then I am not the right person to help you. If, however, you believe that we can work well together at an interpersonal level, then odds are good that you will be able to accomplish your therapeutic goals.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strength as a clinician is to understand both the emotional and cognitive clutter and get to the heart of the concerns you bring to our sessions and guide you toward new patterns of thought and behavior that will have the greatest impact on your emotions and interpersonal relationships.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

While I work with clients from a wide range of backgrounds, my education and experience make me ideally suited to work with clients who share these characteristics: Christians, couples experiencing marital distress or who are seeking to learn the skills needed to build a strong marriage, and individuals who are experiencing anxiety or depression.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is the most studied and research support approach to individual therapy. It assumes that the way we think about and interpret our experiences is the greatest influence on our emotional well-being.

Gottman method

John Gottman is the foremost researcher into what makes marriages work. Whether you are just starting your life together or feel like you're on the verge of divorce, this approach is effective helping couples implement the skills needed for a healthy, satisfying marriage.

Christian Counseling

While I see clients of all philosophical and religious backgrounds, my faith is important to me. I provide a safe place for people of faith to explore their emotional well-being within the context of the Christian faith.
