I am dedicated to helping you through your journey of discovering a better you, or perhaps, regaining the you that you may have lost through difficult times. I like to view life as a book. Like any book, our life has chapters. Some of these chapters are happy, some are sad, some have successes that we can be proud of, and some are chapters we would not want anyone else to ever read. It is true that we cannot go back and change these chapters, but we can learn and grow from them, and you know what? The next chapter is unwritten and waiting to be your best chapter yet!
Here, I understand that the counseling process is about YOU. I use an eclectic approach to aid in individualizing care for each client’s specific needs. Common modalities used during sessions are Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialectical-behavioral therapy (DBT) Mindfulness based therapy, Talk Therapy/Psychotherapy and Reality Therapy.
I believe in helping clients gain new perspectives and insights in order to bring about positive changes in their lives. I believe that each client has the power to form the life that they want and deserve, many just need encouragement and an empathetic ear to guide them along their journey.
I work with a wide range of clients ages 18 plus, including but not limited to helping individuals through grief, trauma, anxiety disorders, personality disorders and depression. I also enjoy helping clients with improvements in self-confidence, self-worth, self-image, and wellness. Additionally, I work with clients dealing with relational issues and recent breakups.
I use an eclectic approach tailored to each client based off their individual needs. Often utilizing CBT, DBT and mindfulness based approaches.
