Hello, and welcome. Reaching out for support is a courageous step, and my goal is to provide a space where you feel safe, understood, and supported while working toward meaningful change. I’m a Florida Licensed Mental Health Counselor who works with adults navigating anxiety, depression, stress, emotional overwhelm, relationship challenges, trauma, and major life transitions. I believe therapy should be both compassionate and honest. While I provide empathy, encouragement, and support, I also believe growth sometimes requires direct conversations delivered with care and respect. My approach is warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental, but I’m also willing to challenge unhealthy patterns, help you gain insight, and encourage accountability when needed so you can move forward in healthier ways. With experience working in emergency departments, psychiatric units, transitional housing programs for substance abuse, and with military families, I’ve supported individuals through some of life’s most difficult and emotionally complex experiences. These settings have strengthened my ability to remain calm under pressure while helping clients feel grounded, heard, and empowered during challenging times. My therapeutic approach combines evidence-based techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and psychoeducation, to help you better understand the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we’ll identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck and build practical tools to help you cope more effectively, improve emotional balance, and create lasting change. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, disconnected, or simply ready for growth, therapy can help you gain clarity, healing, and confidence. I would be honored to support you on that journey.
Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if this is your first experience with counseling. My goal is to create an environment where you feel comfortable, respected, and able to speak openly without fear of judgment. During our first session, we’ll discuss what’s bringing you to therapy, the challenges you’re currently facing, and the goals you hope to achieve. You’ll have space to share your experiences at a pace that feels comfortable for you while we begin exploring patterns, stressors, emotions, and areas where you’d like to see change. I believe effective therapy involves both support and honesty. In our work together, you can expect compassion, empathy, and encouragement, but also direct and thoughtful feedback when needed. Sometimes healing requires difficult conversations, increased self-awareness, and accountability, and I strive to provide that in a way that feels supportive rather than critical. My goal is never to judge you, but to help you gain clarity, insight, and healthier ways of navigating life. I’ll also explain my therapeutic approach and how evidence-based techniques, including CBT and psychoeducation, can help you better understand yourself, improve coping skills, and make meaningful progress toward your goals. By the end of the session, we’ll begin creating a personalized plan tailored to your unique needs and what you want to achieve through therapy.
One of my greatest strengths as a counselor is my ability to create a space where clients feel both emotionally supported and genuinely challenged to grow. I believe healing happens when compassion and honesty work together. Clients often appreciate that I can be warm, understanding, and nonjudgmental while also being direct in a respectful and caring way when difficult truths or unhealthy patterns need to be addressed. I understand that life can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re carrying stress, anxiety, relationship difficulties, trauma, burnout, or emotional pain. My experience working in emergency departments, psychiatric settings, transitional housing programs for substance abuse, and with military families has strengthened my ability to remain calm, grounded, and supportive during high-stress situations and emotionally difficult moments. I believe therapy should provide more than just a place to vent. My goal is to help you gain insight, develop healthier coping skills, improve emotional awareness, and build practical tools that create lasting change in your daily life. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychoeducation, and skill-building techniques, I help clients better understand themselves while working toward healthier thought patterns, behaviors, and relationships. Summer can be a powerful time to reset, refocus, and prioritize your emotional well-being. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, emotionally drained, or simply ready for change, therapy can help you move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and balance. If you’re ready to begin healing, strengthen your coping skills, and create healthier patterns in your life and relationships, I would be honored to support you on your journey.
