Postpartum Anxiety & Maternal Mental Health – Daytime Virtual Openings
Hi, I’m Veronica, a licensed clinical social worker with advanced training in perinatal mental health. I specialize in helping new and expecting moms manage postpartum and pregnancy-related anxiety, overthinking, and racing thoughts, so they can feel more grounded, confident, and in control during this major life transition.
It may look like you’re holding it all together, but inside your mind never stops replaying conversations, worrying about what’s next, and questioning your decisions. Postpartum anxiety and early motherhood can bring constant stress, pressure, self-doubt, and difficulty slowing down.
I view anxiety as something we can learn from, rather than fight against. When approached with curiosity instead of criticism, it often becomes easier to understand what truly needs attention and care. Relief from anxiety isn’t just about changing your thoughts, it’s also about helping your body feel safe again, and not just think your way there.

Thank you for taking the first step in focusing on what your needs are. At times, we get so used to how things are that we forget just because we are functioning doesn’t mean we are doing well. What if you could be more? What if I told you that small steps could get you moving in the direction of being a healthier, more fulfilled version of yourself one who isn’t just surviving, but truly thriving? Growth doesn’t require a complete overhaul; it begins with awareness, intention, and the courage to choose yourself, one step at a time.
Through the world of therapy, I hope to bring more education and support to pregnant and postpartum people. My style of counseling is positive, person-centered and solution-focused. I believe that the most important part of perinatal mental health is prevention; entering into therapy prior to or during pregnancy is the most effective way to process birth and postpartum. I will provide a safe and soothing environment for all of my clients to work through their identified needs. I also have training in working with college-aged students and specifically athletes. I am licensed in both MA and CT.
I believe it is important to establish therapy for moms to be and received continued support through pregnancy and postpartum. I also work with moms who experienced miscarriages and infant loss. I am also able to support college students through early adulthood transitions, sports and relationships.
If you are in the beginning stages of planning for a family or you are postpartum, I am here to support you through these transitions. I also have extensive work with family systems so even older children and parenting support. Currently I am working on an athletic college campus so I am opening private practice to college students as well.

My name is Dr. Olushola Bakare, and I'm a board-certified Psychotherapist. I attended St Joseph College. I'm happy to help you today with any of your concerns. I enjoy empowering people and digging out their strengths. I don't ask fish to fly, neither do I ask birds to swim. I respect everyone's strengths and help my client recognize them. I love to highlight my client's strengths. I offer a safe, warm, therapeutic, judgment-free space for Adults (18+) and Older Adults (65+). I am sorry, but I do not accept clients who pay in cash. Also, every late cancellation or no-show accrues a late charge fee.
It is my ethical duty to officially terminate our therapeutic relationship when it is reasonably clear that the client is no longer beneficent, services are no longer required, counseling no longer serves the client's needs and interests, or Dr. Olushola Bakare, LMFT limits do not allow the provision of further counseling services.
It is the policy of Dr. Olushola Bakare, LMFT, that our professional relationship will be terminated after a one-month consistent lapse of meeting with a client. Dr. Olushola Bakare, LMFT, will attempt to notify you of this change in status as soon as possible after one month. My ethical duty is identifying, being available, and caring for current clients. It could feel awkward for our relationship to end, yet it is not meant to be discourteous in any way. I do not complete disability forms (Social Security, work excuse, FMLA, Court papers/legal papers, emotional support letters, etc).
NO COUPLE THERAPY OR MEDICATION MANAGEMENT, PLEASE!

I am a strong believer that our well-being is affected by biological, psychological, and social factors. I utilize a biopsychosocial approach that highlights the interdependent nature of the body, mind, and social factors and how they might be contributing to the development or continuation of our problems.
Whether you are dealing with depression, family issues, or anxiety, I can help support you in living the life you want. Starting therapy can be a difficult and courageous decision, you have taken the first steps just by being here. I look forward to working with you!
I have always been fascinated by human behavior, the process of producing it and the impact it has on the lives of those involved. From my earliest days of rural living to my time in LA, I truly experienced a journey of wondering in regard to such. Engaging in my own therapy increased my understanding of many of these things. After realizing the inherent value of such work, I was compelled to help others achieve the same by making it a career. I have worked in group and private practice settings since 2004 and currently also assist in running an intensive outpatient program.
I believe that the therapeutic relationship is the most essential factor of therapy. My clients experience a compassionate, inclusive, and nonjudgmental approach, and feel safe, understood, and cared for in our sessions as they explore their needs and obtain the understanding and skills best suited to them.
As a licensed clinician, I strive to help clients overcome anxiety, depression, substance abuse, trauma, PTSD, and other mental health concerns. You will develop coping skills, undo unhealthy patterns, identify triggers, and quickly navigate life transitions. I believe you deserve to feel calm, happy, and in charge of your life. Mental health care is essential to your overall well-being and can help you build the life you want.

Hi, I’m Shay Mitchell, LCSW. As your therapist, my goal is to offer a space where you feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported. Beginning therapy can feel intimidating, especially when you’ve been carrying a lot on your own. My role is to walk alongside you as we make sense of your experiences, uncover the patterns that are holding you back, and build the emotional tools you need to move forward with clarity and confidence.
In our work together, I combine evidence-based approaches—such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and person-centered techniques with a warm, collaborative style. I believe that healing grows from a strong therapeutic relationship, where you feel safe enough to explore difficult emotions and empowered enough to imagine something different for your future. You are the expert in your own life; my job is to guide, support, and help you develop new ways of understanding yourself and the world around you.
Clients often come to me during seasons of transition, emotional overwhelm, self-doubt, relationship stress, or when old wounds begin to resurface. Together, we’ll identify what’s no longer serving you and create a plan that feels manageable and aligned with your values. Whether we’re working to reduce anxiety, strengthen boundaries, improve emotional regulation, or heal from past experiences, I approach your growth with compassion, curiosity, and respect.
Therapy with me is both reflective and practical. You’ll gain insight into your patterns, but you’ll also learn real skills—tools you can use in your everyday life to feel more grounded, more in control, and more connected to yourself.
My hope is that through our work, you discover your own resilience, rebuild trust in yourself, and feel empowered to create the life you truly want. You don’t have to do this alone. I’m here to help you every step of the way.

I understand that seeking support can feel overwhelming, especially when life feels heavy or uncertain. My role is to provide a safe, open, and judgment-free environment where you can process your thoughts and emotions freely. Together, we will explore your story, identify what’s getting in the way, and move toward a life that feels more grounded, balanced, and fulfilling.
Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Connecticut. I received my Master’s from Adelphi University and have been practicing for six years. I’m deeply committed to supporting individuals in improving their mental health and overall well-being. As a therapist, I offer a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their feelings and work through emotional or behavioral challenges. My goal is to support you in navigating life’s difficulties and building a healthy, balanced life.
Hello! My name is Micaela Minano and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I offer individual therapy to women struggling with low self-esteem, relationship issues, depression, anxiety, life transitions, peer relationship issues and trauma. I offer a compassionate and non-judgmental space where clients can share their stories. I use a person-centered approach that involves empathetic listening, respect and understanding.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who earned my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Saint Joseph. I work collaboratively with individuals to develop meaningful coping strategies that foster greater connection, engagement, and overall well-being. My goal is to help each person feel grounded, empowered, and aligned with their best self.
First off, thank you for taking this step to self-improvement. I am very biased in saying this, but I truly believe everyone can benefit from therapy at some point in their life. My name is Doctor Claudia Krasnicki, I have been a psychologist for the past 20 years. I have primarily worked in hospitals where people have suffered severely and needed the highest level of support. But I have also had my own practice for 10 years and love helping individuals that are able to function well but find themselves suffering in a manner that they need support from someone that is not going judge them and is confidential. I am honored to be allowed into all of my clients lives and help them find peace, improve their relationships with others but with the primary focus on self-care and self-love.
My passion has always been helping individuals enhance their overall happiness, build on their strengths, and stay motivated in pursuing their goals. Over the past 8 years, I’ve gained experience in the mental health field through work in community outpatient clinics, group homes, schools, and in-home therapy.
My style is both relaxed and goal-oriented. I aim to show up in the way you need while also being honest and encouraging you to grow. I believe in creating a supportive space that is free of judgment, where open communication and feedback guide the process. Together, we’ll explore what works best for you and adjust as needed to help you move toward your goals.
I am a licensed clinical social worker who has worked for the past 8+ years in an outpatient program for mental health and substance use. These years have introduced me to various concerns which include mood dysregulation, anxiety, crisis intervention, family conflict, trauma, substance use and abuse, along with severe mental health symptoms and more. I worked in leadership along with holding a clinical caseload so that I can best support the needs of all that entered the building while also supporting the clinical staff and providing guidance so they can confidently help those in need. We live in a world where people gravitate toward a quick fix, that is obvious with the prevalence of addiction. Working in the substance use field led to me focusing more on holistic approaches. It's important to remind people that there are ways that we can address our own symptoms, feel better and have lasting effects rather than that quick fix. In addition, my graduate school experience was working with children ages 5-18, another passion of mine which I look forward to doing again.
Research and clinical experience guide my therapeutic approach. Much of my work involves helping individuals process trauma and life experiences or stressors. I understand that in working with individuals through an array of challenges, vulnerability and compassion are necessary for healing. It is my goal to provide a safe, warm, and relaxed environment for individuals to tune out external noise and deepen the connection within.
* I will do house calls! I can do home-based sessions in Middlesex County for perinatal & postpartum moms who have Husky/Medicaid insurance if you prefer. I'm a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Practitioner (PMH-C) and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a wide range of expertise. I am a mom of 3 and still learning! It's busy and comes with sacrifices and challenges but fun and filled with opportunities to connect that many of us cannot slow down our lives to cue in on.
If you are pregnant, struggling to become pregnant or have given birth and are postpartum, I specialize in helping you through various aspects of this season of receiving. Some themes I see and work with: Life transitions, co-parenting styles/romantic relationships and attachment & bonding w/baby, comparison to others, expectations vs. reality. Some of my patients go through IVF, or are pregnant but feeling off and want to monitor their mental health and prepare a birthing plan. I mostly work closely with women trying to work through things like, breast feeding struggles, NICU trauma, OCD w/ intrusive scary thoughts, mood swings yup-even postpartum rage, traumatic birth experiences and even negative experiences with medical teams causing peri-partum onset of symptoms typically based in anxiety. Just meeting with me is a support, safe space and outlet for you to regain momentum, feel more energized and often I see patients begin to know and experience HOPE.
As a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, yoga and meditation teacher, and hypnotherapist, I have over 25 years of counseling experience, including 13 years in private practice. I am constantly fascinated and inspired by the mind-body-energy connection, and the resilience of the human spirit. In my practice I use traditional "talk therapy" methods, as well as unconscious processes to assist participants in moving forward toward what is intended.
