Hi! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a school psychologist with over 20 years experience. I received my Masters from Mercy College in New York. I am also a doctoral candidate at California Southern University. I currently practice in the state of Connecticut and am a skilled and experienced psychoeducational evaluator and counselor supporting a wide range of mental health needs.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In out first session together, we will start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you are facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having also worked as a school psychologist for over 20 years, I am skilled at assessing and supporting school based functioning. I also have extensive experience working with parents and families on family systems practices.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use a variety of CBT techniques to support clients strengths and to help them achieve their goals. CBT has been extensively researched and found effective for a range of mental health problems, including anxiety and depression.

Couples Counseling

I support couples using many proven methods researched and implemented by the Gottman Institute. I also support clients using BCT methods to address addiction and interpersonal marital functioning.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

SFBT is a short-term goal-focused evidence-based therapeutic approach, which incorporates positive psychology principles and practices, and which helps clients change by constructing solutions rather than focusing on problems

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use a combination of DBT techniques to support individual growth. At the heart of DBT, is to teach people how to live in the moment, develop healthy ways to cope with stress, regulate their emotions, and improve their relationships with others
