About me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience supporting individuals through life challenges and mental health concerns. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and focused on helping you feel understood and empowered. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help you recognize patterns, build coping skills, and move toward the goals that matter most to you. Together, we’ll create a safe space where growth feels possible and progress feels sustainable.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session together, we’ll spend a little time getting to know one another. I’ll ask some questions to better understand your background, current supports, and what brings you to therapy now. We’ll also start identifying the challenges you’re facing and talk about your goals for our work together. My aim is to make you feel comfortable and supported as we begin this process.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What stands out about my approach is my strong belief that therapy should feel collaborative and empowering. I strive to create a supportive space where you feel heard, respected, and actively involved in your own growth. I emphasize practical skills you can use right away, while also helping you explore the deeper patterns that may be holding you back.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with young adults (18-24), and Adults (25-65) addressing a spectrum of mental health concerns, including, anxiety, depression, self- esteem esteem issues, stress, and relationship issues. My communication style is open, warm, and nonjudgmental space with undivided attention. I work with clients to create open and safe environment, establish a strong rapport, as well as confidential space. I strive to meet my clients where they are in their journey and feel comfortable expressing themselves. Goal setting is a collaborative and flexible process. Coming up with goals and breaking them down into small and manageable steps, then the treatment plan used to guide us to the desired outcome.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my clinical practice, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a foundational treatment modality that I use to help clients gain insight into the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Through CBT, I support individuals in identifying unhelpful or distorted thinking patterns that contribute to emotional distress and ineffective coping, and we collaboratively work to replace them with more balanced and adaptive alternatives.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I integrate mindfulness-based interventions in my clinical work to help clients develop present-moment awareness, emotional regulation, and a more compassionate relationship with their internal experiences. My approach draws on elements of Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and acceptance-oriented strategies to support individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, stress, and trauma-related symptoms. In practice, I guide clients in recognizing automatic thoughts and bodily cues, while encouraging non-judgmental observation of emotions as they arise. Techniques I frequently implement include grounding exercises, mindful breathing, guided imagery, and body scans. These skills help clients slow down reactive patterns, increase tolerance for distress, and reconnect with their values and strengths. I also incorporate psychoeducation around the mind-body connection and encourage consistent practice between sessions, emphasizing that mindfulness is a skill developed over time. For some clients, I blend mindfulness with traditional CBT interventions to enhance cognitive flexibility, reduce ruminative thinking, and foster long-term resilience.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a core component of my therapeutic practice, especially when supporting clients who are ambivalent about change or working toward behavior modification. I utilize MI to help individuals explore their own motivations, values, and goals, while strengthening their sense of autonomy and personal agency in the change process. I have experience implementing MI with clients managing substance use disorders, health and lifestyle changes, anxiety and depression, as well as adjustment-related challenges. My approach is grounded in the spirit of MI—partnership, acceptance, compassion, and evocation. I create a nonjudgmental environment that encourages open dialogue, while using reflective listening, affirmations, and strategic questions to help clients uncover discrepancies between their current behaviors and their desired outcomes. As clients increase their readiness for change, I help them develop actionable steps that align with their strengths and internal motivation. Through MI, I aim to empower individuals to take ownership of their progress, enhance confidence in their ability to make meaningful changes, and support long-term success by ensuring change is self-driven rather than externally imposed.
