(she/her)
Hi! I'm Alexandra, a licensed professional counselor based in Connecticut with over 10 years of experience. I work with clients across the lifespan, from children to adults, helping them navigate challenges like depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and the unique stresses of parenting. My approach is warm, honest, and collaborative, and I use evidence-based techniques like CBT, combined with other tools like DBT and art therapy, to provide a flexible, supportive, and effective therapeutic experience.
In our first session, we'll take some time to get to know each other and dive into what brought you here. I'll ask a few questions to get a sense of you background and what you'd like to work on, but don't worry- I'll keep it relaxed! You'll have plenty of space to share whatever feels important. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, understood, and excited to get started!
My greatest strengths as a provider is my blend of blunt honesty and friendliness, shaped by both life and professional experience. This lets clients feel supported and empowered to tackle real challenges and make meaningful changes.
I am best positioned to work with women, parents, and individuals facing depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, or parenting stress.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
In my practice, I use CBT with a range of clients, from children and teens to adults. I value CBT for its solid, evidence-based framework, but I approach it with flexibility, recognizing that each client's needs are unique. I often combine CBT with other therapeutic tools- whether it's techniques from DBT, art therapy, or other modalities- to tailor the approach to what will be most effective for each individual. This flexibility allows me to adapt CBT's principles to different age groups and challenges, helping clients develop practical skills for managing their thoughts and emotions in a way that feels natural and accessible for them.
