We will collaborate on setting goals that are specific, obtainable and realistic. As we go along in our journey, we will come back to our goals evaluated and see if we have hit our target or if we need to go back and change our goal and keep moving forward.

In our work together we will learn how to utilize DBT skills to help us regulate our emotions and accept the pains in life so that they do not consume us.
I am newly trained in EMDR and I find this method of treatment to be helpful with individuals who I have experienced trauma. The best part of this treatment modality is that we do not have to go into detail about the trauma. We just held the brain initiates its natural healing process something that the brain actually does when we're sleeping in REM sleep but with EMDR we activate it while in session.
I have been utilizing motivational interviewing for the past 3 years. It can be helpful for individuals wanting to make a change and any aspect of their lives. This treatment modality can be significantly helpful with individuals trying to reduce/stop substance use.
