I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in relationship dynamics, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. My work is rooted in systems theory, recognizing the impact of family, culture, and environment on emotional well-being. I utilize approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients strengthen relationships, regulate emotions, and develop practical tools for lasting change.

My training as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, combined with my bilingual abilities, allows me to support diverse families in navigating complex relational dynamics.

First session

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, and what you’re hoping to get out of our work together. There’s no pressure to share everything right away—this is your space, and we’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. My goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where you feel heard and understood.

Strengths

My training as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, combined with my bilingual abilities, allows me to support diverse families in navigating complex relational dynamics. I understand the unique challenges that can arise in bilingual or multicultural households—such as acculturation differences, role expectations, and intergenerational conflict—and I help families work toward balance, respect, and connection.

Ideal clients

I work best with clients who are ready to reflect, grow, and make changes—even if they’re not exactly sure where to start. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or navigating a major life transition, I enjoy supporting clients who are open to the process and willing to engage. I especially enjoy working with bilingual and multicultural clients navigating identity, family dynamics, and life transitions.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

This is my second time signing up for therapy with Lissette E. And she is amazing, she truly gives the motherly vibes that I get from my own mother and she is very straight forward and direct! I recommend anyone that is looking for therapy to Lissette E!
