Feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or not like yourself lately? You don’t have to figure it out on your own. Hi, I’m Gustavo, a licensed therapist in California. I work with adults who are dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, and patterns that keep them feeling stuck—especially when stress, relationships, or major life changes start to feel overwhelming. A lot of the people I work with feel like their mind won’t shut off, like they’re constantly overthinking or carrying stress that doesn’t go away. Others feel burned out, unmotivated, or disconnected from themselves. Some find themselves repeating the same patterns in relationships or coping in ways that don’t actually help long-term. If any of that sounds familiar, you’re not alone. In our work together, we’ll focus on practical strategies that help you feel more in control of your thoughts and emotions. I’ll help you build confidence, set clear boundaries, improve communication, and start breaking the patterns that keep you stuck. My approach is direct, supportive, and goal-oriented. I won’t just sit back and nod—I’ll help you understand what’s going on and give you tools you can actually use in your day-to-day life. Starting therapy can feel like a big step, but you don’t need to have everything figured out to begin.

As a proud Latina therapist, I bring a deep understanding of how culture shapes our experiences, our families, and the stories we carry about ourselves. With an extensive background in child development and family systems, my approach centers on healing the inner child and understanding the roots of who we are today. I show up for clients with compassion and warmth, paired with a gentle assertiveness to help guide you toward your potential. Above all, I am an optimist — and I will always hold hope for you, even on the days you struggle to hold it for yourself

I know that the decision to start therapy is a huge step and that actually going through with therapy can be a cause of fear or anxiety as therapy is not always easy as it takes time, money and ultimately effort to open up to someone who regardless of experience or training is just a stranger at first.

I believe life is made up of lessons—both good and difficult—and at times those lessons can feel overwhelming, confusing, and exhausting to navigate alone. Healing is a journey, and I recognize that meaningful change takes time. I dedicated myself to this field to remind others that our past does not define us, but is instead made up of experiences that can become opportunities for growth.

Hello! I have always felt a deep calling to help others. Early in life, I recognized that my passion lay in supporting people as they navigate challenges, discover their strengths, and make meaningful changes. This calling led me to pursue a career in mental health and become a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California. My academic background in psychology began at Universidad de San Martín de Porres in Lima, Peru, where I completed four years of psychology studies in 1980. I earned my Master’s degree from Pacific Oaks College in 2013 and completed my Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) in Marital and Family Therapy at The Chicago School in 2021. To further enhance my clinical expertise, I have pursued specialized training through UCLA, with a focus on alcohol and substance use studies. My therapeutic approach is rooted in the belief that every individual possesses unique strengths and the capacity for growth. I work collaboratively with clients to help them gain insight, build resilience, and move toward their personal goals. As your therapist, I strive to create a supportive, authentic, and compassionate environment where you feel heard, understood, and empowered. As a South American therapist, I bring cultural awareness and sensitivity to my work, recognizing the importance of honoring each client’s unique background, experiences, and values. My diverse clinical experience, combined with a commitment to ongoing personal and professional development, has shaped a client-centered approach that emphasizes respect, empathy, and genuine connection. Clients often share that they feel safe, supported, and understood in our work together. They value the inclusive and affirming space we create, where they can openly explore their experiences and move toward greater well-being and fulfillment.

Hi I am Kao, I firmly believe that as humans we have an innate desire for growth and balance. Unfortunately, often we physically respond to ingrained negative cues and messages that get stuck in our body. Many times these old cues manifest themselves in our body as anxiety, depression, and other trauma responses. It can feel like we are living life just trying to cope with the loudness of these negative messages. What if instead of just gaining tools to “cope” with these trauma responses, we could eliminate them all together? How might your life look? My hope is that in our work together we will be able to address wounds and move towards healing so that you don’t have to “cope” anymore. Instead you can thrive and have a sense of self-awareness that brings constant peace and clarity.

¡Hablo Español! Hello, and thank you for taking the time to read my profile. My name is Roxana, and I’m a first-generation Mexican-American, born and raised in Southern California. I proudly served in the Marine Corps and have been working in mental health since 2012, providing case management to individuals facing homelessness and severe mental illness. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working in diverse settings throughout Riverside County, including Domestic Violence and Forensic Mental Health, where I worked closely with men in the Criminal Justice System. During my practicum, I provided individual counseling to military members, veterans, and first responders, helping them address relationship conflicts, PTSD, anxiety, and depression. My therapeutic approach includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), as well as Gottman Relationship Method (Level 1). However, I believe that effective therapy begins with a genuine, person-to-person connection—one that builds trust, fosters open communication, and creates a sense of safety and mutual respect. My goal is to create a space where clients feel truly seen and valued, and I occasionally use humor to support meaningful therapeutic work that fosters long-lasting growth and change. Thank you again for visiting my profile—it would be an honor to work with you!

Many of my clients feel emotionally overwhelmed from constantly caring for others while neglecting their own needs. Anxiety, overthinking, relationship stress, self-doubt, and emotional exhaustion can make it difficult to feel balanced, confident, or connected to yourself. I specialize in helping women navigate anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, and self-esteem difficulties. My approach is supportive, collaborative, and goal-oriented. I help clients identify unhealthy patterns, strengthen coping skills, develop healthier boundaries, and build greater emotional confidence and resilience. As a bilingual Latina therapist, I understand the cultural expectations, family dynamics, and emotional responsibilities many women experience while balancing relationships, work, caregiving, and personal growth. I strive to create a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered. Therapy is not about having everything figured out before you begin. I was born in the US, but I was raised in Mexico. I lived in Tijuana for 10 years when my parents decided to move us across the border to Chula Vista, California. As a first-generation Mexican-American, I experienced a duality of cultures. I was often judged for either being “not Mexican enough” OR “not American enough.” I also faced enormous pressure to be successful – to justify my parents’ having left their beloved country so my sibling and I could have a better life. This is one of many reasons I decided to follow this path: to help those who feel alone in their journey. That’s how I felt when acculturating to this country. I earned my Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) at San Diego State University (SDSU). I was going to go directly into the workforce and eventually go back for my master’s, but an awesome professor challenged me to apply right away so I wouldn’t lose momentum. So, that’s what I did. I ended up getting my Master of Social Work (MSW) at the University of Southern California. It took some time and courage to finish all my licensing requirements, but it was worth it! I’ve been licensed as a clinical social worker in California since 2019. I am certified in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma-Focused CBT.

I am a compassionate and collaborative therapist who values creating a safe, supportive space for clients to explore their experiences with honesty and curiosity. As a bilingual Latina therapist, I bring an understanding of cultural identity, family systems, and generational influences into the therapeutic process. My approach is trauma-informed and integrative, drawing from evidence-based practices while honoring each person’s unique story and strengths. I believe meaningful change begins with feeling understood, respected, and empowered within a strong therapeutic relationship.

Hello, I’m Maria Fernanda Perez, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have worked in a helping capacity for over 22 years. I specialize in working with violence and trauma survivors, teens, adults who have experienced challenges in their lives. I support individuals, couples and families who desire to develop a deeper connection to their body and understanding their actions and behaviors. For many of my clients this looks like symptoms of high sensitivity, anxiety, depression, and trauma interfering with their ability to connect with themselves. My traditional mental health and somatic work background has given me a solid foundation in helping others to better finding their inner self. I help my clients build a bridge between their adult self and their inner child through exploration and understanding.
