LCSW, 14 years of experience
Im a kind and caring person fundamentally. I studied social work, which feels like a natural extension of who I am, at Barry University. I have served a variety of populations since my MSW in my roles as an inpatient/ER case manager in acute care and psychiatric hospitals. I am clinically licensed and work independently serving clients through Telehealth. My goal is to provide my clients support and guidance and provide a safe space for them to express themselves. I enjoy treating each client individually and collaborating with them to address their concerns and implement changes to improve their quality of life.
During the first session we will get to know a little about each other, discuss what has been affecting you, and agree on how I can help.
I’m genuine, trustworthy, sincere, and an attentive listener. I am invested in my clients growth and well being.
I have the best outcomes with clients who are motivated to get to know themselves and what drives their behavior. My happiest clients are those who make and meet goals with my support.

Janet quickly made me comfortable to express myself. She seems to be a genuine person with empathy for her patients. Further, she provides useful tools/suggestions after carefully listening to my concerns.

Janet was empathetic, kind and respectful. She made it easy to open up and be honest, something I didn’t feel I could do with my previous therapy experience.
The humanistic therapist looks at the whole person, focusing on their positive traits and potential to grow. Together we focus on developing person and their instincts. Over time their development helps them heal, grow and find their own wisdom. My hope is that we are both postively impacted by the relationship, no matter the duration. My goal is to focus on solutions first, and improving our responses over time.
