I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker fluent in English and Spanish. I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Social Welfare from the University of Puerto Rico and a Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Nebraska in Omaha. I have dedicated my career empowering individuals, families, and communities. I believe in people's inherent ability to lead healthier lives and see it as the driving force behind every relationship.
I will explain my background, approach to therapy, confidentiality policies. Client may share reasons for seeking therapy and desired outcomes. I may ask about personal history, relationships, and mental health. I will explain how the sessions will work and outline expectations. Client can ask about the therapy process or anything else relevant.
My greatest strengths are compassion, empathy, and nonjudgment approach. I create a supportive environment to help clients build the tools they need for a balanced and fulfilling life.

In my clinical practice, I have found Solution-Focused Brief Treatment (SFBT) to be highly effective and empowering approach. My experience has been rooted in its strenghts-based philosophy, which aligns well with my belief in client's inherent ability to find solutions within themselves. I use Solution Focused Brief Treatment to help clients focus on their strengths and the goals they want to achieve. We look at what's working in their lives and how they can build on that. I help clients define clear, specific goals and what they would like to see different in their lives. Also, I help clients recognize their own strengths, resources, and past successes, fostering a sense of movement toward meaningful changes in their lives. Solution Focused Brief Treatment has allowed me to collaborate with clients in a way that is hopeful, respectful and practical.
