Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in California. I received my Masters from the University of Southern California (USC) emphasis in Mental Health and Military Social Work. I have been practicing for 7 years. I help US Military Service Members and Veteran's struggling with adjusting to civilian life, PTSD, Depression, Anxiety and Anger Management skills. The military teaches structure and purpose everyday. You know what you have to do, where you have to be and when you have to be there and going to waking up as a civilian to “what do I do now” can be a struggle. Not having to be up for PT, formation, duty, no sense of purpose can be daunting. This is where I come in and help by working together to learn the skills to get back on track.
In our first session together, we'll start with introductions, then discuss specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
Being a US Army Combat Veteran helps me understand and narrow the gap that many times can be misunderstood between civilians and Veteran’s.
I love working with Veterans. It is a population that is dear to me and that I am also a member of. Coming home, adjusting to civilian life is not a transition that can be done easily all the time. Many struggle from the lack of structure and tools needed to engage a healthy stable transition into a new chapter of life.
Learning how to focus on today; the here and now in the moment and identify stressors to make life manageable.
