In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions. Sometimes what we start with may not always be what we finish with. The journey of therapy can bring up lots of realizations. We will go at your pace and find your comfort level.

I’ve been using Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT) in my practice for the past five years. In our sessions, we'll work together to understand your challenges and identify unhelpful thought patterns that may be affecting your emotions and behaviors. Using CBT techniques, I'll help you reframe negative thoughts, develop healthier coping strategies, and practice new skills in daily life. If you would like, I can provide simple exercises to apply between sessions. We will track your progress together to make sure this approach works for you. Sometimes we do not recognize certain life events as trauma and do not realize that our past trauma has a lot to do with how we function currently. If appropriate and with time, we can explore some of your thoughts, feelings and behaviors as related to your past trauma. My goal is to create a supportive, non-judgmental space where you feel comfortable sharing at your own pace. We’ll work together to recognize how trauma may affect your life and use tools to help you heal, build resilience, and regain control over your journey.
