About me

Therapy for PTSD, Complex Trauma, and Anxiety If you’re living with PTSD, complex trauma, childhood trauma, or anxiety, understanding your experiences is important, but insight alone doesn’t always create lasting change. Therapy can help you process what you’ve been through so it has less impact on how you feel, relate to others, and move through daily life. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) licensed in Connecticut and Colorado. I specialize in PTSD, complex trauma (CPTSD), childhood trauma, attachment wounds, and anxiety, and I work with adults who want support feeling safer, more grounded, and more connected to themselves and their lives. My approach is warm, collaborative, and trauma informed. I’m certified in EMDR and trained in Brainspotting and Internal Family Systems (IFS) informed therapy. These approaches allow us to work with the deeper patterns and experiences underlying what you’re struggling with, rather than simply managing symptoms. I also work especially well with highly sensitive people (HSPs), deep feelers, and people who may have spent much of their lives feeling misunderstood or emotionally overwhelmed. Healing doesn’t mean forgetting what happened or becoming someone different. It means having more freedom from the ways trauma continues to affect you. If you’re ready to work through the past and feel more like yourself again, I’d be glad to help you explore whether therapy is a good fit.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our initial session, we'll begin by getting acquainted and establishing a comfortable environment. From there, we'll explore your goals and interests for therapy. This will provide a foundation for us to develop a personalized roadmap for our future sessions.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My work is grounded in a holistic, trauma informed approach that recognizes the connection between the mind, body, emotions, and nervous system. I bring warmth, compassion, and authenticity to therapy while also being willing to gently challenge you when it can support meaningful change. I draw from evidence based trauma therapies, including EMDR, Brainspotting, and IFS informed therapy, and tailor treatment to each person's needs and goals. My professional experience, combined with my own personal experience and therapy work, has given me a deep appreciation for how trauma can affect every part of life, including relationships, self worth, emotional regulation, and our sense of safety. One of my strengths is creating a space where people can feel genuinely understood without judgment. I value depth, honesty, humor, and connection, and I believe therapy can be both compassionate and transformative.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I especially enjoy working with people who are ready to go beyond coping skills and explore the deeper roots of what they're experiencing. Many of my clients have been to therapy before and are looking for something different, like EMDR or other trauma-focused approaches that support lasting healing. If you're curious, open, and ready to do deeper work, I'd be honored to be part of that journey.

My treatment methods

EMDR

I am certified in EMDR and trained in Brainspotting, Internal Family Systems. I focus on the individual needs and structure our treatment planning around the goals of the individual. I prefer to work with individuals who have gone through therapy before and are wanting to explore EMDR and IFS.
