My treatment methods

Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy

A very effective approach for anxiety and OCD, I help you stay grounded in the present moment through challenging irrational beliefs, replacing them with healthy & more effective new beliefs, and we will take a directive and active approach to reducing the impact of negative, self-defeating thoughts and feelings.

Attachment-based

Together, we can explore your attachment style in various relationships, how that style has been informed by earlier life experiences, and how we can move you toward a secure attachment style.

Compassion Focused

We will explore parts of your life/experience that you struggle to accept due to social conditioning, deeply ingrained beliefs, and more. We will deconstruct the internal voice that says we "should" be or feel a certain way, and empower you with new inner dialogue.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)

I help you reduce compulsions, avoidance, and rumination on obsessions through the use of ERP. With ERP, we will gently and gradually expose you to worries/fears in a way that does not flood you, but rather, allows you to tolerate discomfort/uncertainty more effectively, little by little. Eventually, you will have a greater tolerance to the anxieties and concerns that had been fueling OCD tendencies.
