Have you had enough yet? I can help you identify ways to improve your confidence as you struggle through coping with family, career, anxiety, depression, or identity issues. I have worked in teens and adults in three different states over the past 30 years. Identifying small steps to take in order to achieve larger goals, identifying what is important to focus on today versus letting go of the past or waiting until the future are also areas I can assist. I believe the only way to truly achieve change is through consistent small steps overtime. I am a LMHC, wife, stepmom, mother-in-law, sister, daughter, friend, supervisor, and Beagle mom. I could be your next therapist, that choice is up to you.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, I will be asking about the situations that brought you into counseling, getting to know each other and beginning to identify goals you would like to achieve. I may give you 'homework' to work on between our sessions to help you process or put into action things we discuss.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

Leave the technical therapeutic jargon to me, and let’s focus on building a relationship, trust and identify concrete behavioral changes to move you to a better place in your life. I will listen without judgment, ask challenging questions to pinpoint the area of change you seek, and hold you accountable to making small steps are in achieving your goals. (If you need the technical jargon: CBT, Motivational Interviewing, RBT, Client Centered Approaches)

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Navigating stepfamilies can be a challenge, but when you add LBGTQ identities a new level of struggle can appear. If you are wanting to learning ways to be true to yourself while being a partner, stepparent or professional, in an ever-changing environment, I can help. If you are coping with anxiety, depression, or unhealthy habits, let’s mix some realistic behavioral choices and accountability together to help you achieve your goals.
