LMHC, 6 years of experience
I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida, and I provide therapy exclusively through telehealth for adults and teens. My goal is to offer a supportive, down-to-earth space where you can explore what’s been weighing on you and begin to make sense of your experiences in a meaningful way. Over the years, I’ve helped clients work through a wide range of challenges, including ADHD, trauma, anxiety, depression, addiction, anger, grief, communication, and major life transitions. I also work with people who feel stuck, unmotivated, or uncertain about their direction in life—those moments when questions about meaning, regret, or identity start to surface. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based practices like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and trauma-informed care. I believe therapy is not about “fixing” you—it’s about understanding yourself more fully, finding what works for you, and building a life that feels more balanced, authentic, and fulfilling. I value creating a safe and nonjudgmental space where you can speak freely and be met with genuine empathy and respect. Whether you’re looking to process painful experiences, manage difficult emotions, or gain clarity about your next steps, I’m here to help you navigate that process at your own pace. All sessions are held online for your comfort, privacy, and convenience—making it easier to access support wherever you are in Florida.
Beginning therapy can feel like a big step, and it’s completely normal to feel a mix of curiosity, hope, and maybe a little nervousness before our first session. My goal is to make that first meeting feel as natural and comfortable as possible. During our initial session, we’ll start by talking about what brought you to therapy at this time and what you’d like to get out of it. You don’t need to have everything figured out or know exactly where to start—many people come in simply knowing that something doesn’t feel right, and that’s more than enough. I’ll guide the conversation in a way that feels supportive and at your pace. We’ll spend time getting to know each other and exploring your background, current challenges, and goals. This helps me begin to understand your unique experiences and patterns, and it gives you a sense of my style and approach. You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions, share your hopes or concerns about therapy, and decide whether this feels like a good fit for you. I often focus the first session on creating a foundation of safety and trust. We might discuss what’s been working for you, what hasn’t, and what support looks like in your life right now. My role is not to judge or diagnose in a vacuum—it’s to collaborate with you in understanding what’s happening beneath the surface and what might help you move toward the life you want. Because therapy is a partnership, I’ll share a bit about how I work and what you can expect moving forward. I tend to combine structure with flexibility: using evidence-based tools such as CBT, mindfulness, and trauma-informed strategies, while also adapting each session to meet your needs in the moment. By the end of the first session, most people feel a sense of relief simply from being heard. You might leave with a few initial insights or small steps to begin practicing between sessions, but the main goal is to ensure you feel understood, supported, and comfortable continuing the process. All sessions are held online through a secure telehealth platform, allowing you to meet from the privacy and convenience of your own space. I encourage you to come as you are—whether that means showing up with a clear list of concerns or just a general feeling that you want things to be different. We’ll start wherever you are and move forward together.
What clients often tell me stands out most about my approach is the balance between empathy and practicality. I offer a space that feels calm, open, and safe—but also grounded in clear, actionable steps for real change. My goal isn’t just to help you understand what’s going on, but to help you do something with that understanding. I take time to really get to know each person I work with. Rather than applying a rigid method, I listen deeply and tailor therapy to your specific needs, personality, and pace. I draw from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, trauma-informed care, and strength-based methods, blending them in ways that feel natural and supportive for you. Clients often describe me as straightforward yet compassionate. I value honesty and authenticity, and I strive to create a relationship where you can speak freely without fear of judgment. Sometimes therapy involves exploring painful or confusing experiences; other times it’s about learning new tools, setting boundaries, or rediscovering your motivation. Wherever you are, I meet you there. Another aspect that defines my work is helping clients find clarity when life feels chaotic or uncertain. Whether you’re navigating ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, anger, grief, or a major life transition, I help you uncover what’s underneath the surface—so that healing and growth become not just possible, but sustainable. Many of my clients notice that over time they begin to think more clearly, react less harshly to stress, and feel more confident in their choices. Therapy often becomes a space where they can reconnect with who they are, build healthier habits, and feel more in control of their own story. Ultimately, what stands out most about my approach is the combination of compassion, collaboration, and real-world application. I want therapy to be a space that not only feels safe and supportive, but one that genuinely helps you move toward a life that feels more balanced, purposeful, and aligned with who you want to be.
I enjoy working with people who are interested in taking an honest look at their lives and begin creating change, even if they’re not yet sure what that change needs to look like. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, unfocused, or disconnected from themselves. They may be navigating difficult emotions like anxiety, sadness, frustration, or guilt—or struggling with patterns that keep repeating, despite their best efforts to move forward. Some of the people I serve are high-functioning and successful in many areas of life, yet privately feel exhausted or unfulfilled. Others are dealing with major transitions: career changes, losses, moves, or relationship shifts that leave them questioning what’s next. Many live with ADHD or other attention-related challenges, and are seeking better structure, focus, and understanding of how their minds work. Others are healing from trauma or grief, working through depression or addiction, or struggling to manage anger, stress, or motivation. While the specific reasons for seeking therapy vary, what my clients tend to share is a desire to feel more grounded, more in control, and more connected to themselves and the world around them. They’re often thoughtful, reflective people who may have spent a lot of time taking care of others, managing responsibilities, or trying to “hold it all together.” Therapy becomes a space where they can finally turn some of that care and energy inward. I’m particularly drawn to working with people who feel stuck between who they are and who they want to be. Maybe you’ve tried different coping strategies, read the books, listened to the podcasts—but something still feels unsettled. You might be struggling with self-doubt, procrastination, overthinking, or a sense that you’re just going through the motions. My role is to help you slow down, make sense of what’s happening beneath the surface, and find new ways of approaching yourself and your life. I also connect well with clients who appreciate honesty and collaboration in therapy. I’m not a therapist who simply nods and listens; I offer gentle but direct feedback, practical tools, and a space for genuine reflection. I believe that real growth comes from both insight and action, so our work often involves exploring the “why” behind your patterns and experimenting with new ways of thinking and responding in daily life. My approach is grounded in empathy and respect for your unique experiences. I work with adults and teens of all backgrounds and identities, and I honor the courage it takes to show up and engage in this process. Whether you’re seeking clarity, healing, or simply a better understanding of yourself, I’m here to support that journey in a way that feels collaborative, safe, and empowering. Therapy with me is not about perfection or quick fixes—it’s about building awareness, resilience, and self-compassion over time. Together, we’ll explore what’s been holding you back, strengthen the parts of you that are ready to grow, and help you reconnect with what truly matters to you. If you’re feeling ready—or even just curious—about what therapy might offer, I’m here to meet you where you are. My hope is that through our work, you’ll begin to feel more centered, confident, and capable of creating the kind of life that feels genuine and fulfilling. All sessions are held online for your comfort and convenience, making therapy accessible no matter where you are in Florida.
I utilize a variety of techniques and concepts to explore and challenge thoughts and behaviors that are not helping my clients and process difficult emotions. I also do not shy away if the client wants to explore how their spiritual beliefs and practices factor into their treatment.
This form of therapy is primarily utilized to identify thoughts and beliefs that do not serve an individual well, and then explore different thoughts and beliefs that may be more advantageous.
I utilize Motivational Interviewing to facilitate the exploration of cognitive distortions, to process trauma, and to identify challenging emotions.
