Within our sessions, we'll become clear about relationship issues, behavioral concerns, boundary setting, self-esteem, and life transitions such as loss, separation, and divorce. We’ll identify and practice the best tools and tips so that you can manage stressful situations with greater ease. Let go of the need to "save everyone" and begin by saving yourself through awareness of your emotions. As a compassionate and authentic practitioner, I love incorporating complementary techniques such as mindfulness, movement and thought awareness tools to assist you in releasing somatically the causes that are creating stress. Together we'll find the right solutions that work for you. My mission is to assist you in balancing your life towards health and happiness by looking at all areas of your life and identifying where you are struggling the most. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Within each session, we’ll begin by focusing on one win you’ve experienced that week. We’ll then dive into whatever area you want to focus on what’s coming up for you. You can expect therapy to be problem-focused and relatively short-term, typically lasting between 3-12 months depending on your goals. You’ll leave each session with heart work, and at least one activity to focus on between sessions. Within our sessions we’ll practice self-regulation techniques, you’ll learn more about the connection or disconnection between your thoughts and emotions, plus identify subconscious beliefs that are holding you back. What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), trauma therapy, Mindfulness, and spiritual support. The tools and treatment methods I use will depend on your goals. You’ll understand the modalities I use and we’ll shift as needed to ensure you feel supported throughout our time together. You’ll leave the sessions feeling heard and understood plus less overwhelm.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My focus is on mood and stress management, traumatic experiences, and healthy transition and adjustment through various life challenges. A typical question I'll ask is how do you feel in your body? As a bicultural therapist, I can understand the challenge living in 2 cultures may bring. My personal and professional experience with grief has taught me that it’s a different experience for each person and I have a variety of tools that can help. I have great success helping individuals manage daily stressors and increase effective coping. When needed, I incorporate mindfulness-based interventions to help clients reduce anxiety and impulsivity, increase concentration and regulate difficult emotions. I speak English and Spanish fluently.
