New to Grow
Hi, I’m Amanda. I’m a compassionate therapist who values creating a safe, supportive space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without judgment. I work with clients to build self-awareness, process difficult emotions, and develop practical skills for coping and growth. My goal is to create a uniquely tailored treatment plan to address your needs and help you feel relief from your triggers.
In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know you and understanding what brings you to therapy. I’ll ask about your history, current concerns, and goals, and we’ll discuss how we can work together to support your growth. This is a safe space to share openly, ask questions, and begin building a plan that feels right for you.
I bring a solution-oriented, client-centered approach to therapy, tailoring each session to meet your unique needs and goals. I’m skilled in a variety of evidence-based methods, including EMDR, CBT, DBT, and attachment-focused approaches, which allows me to help clients process trauma, manage emotions, and build healthier patterns within themselves and interpersonal relationships. My greatest strength is creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful change.
I diagnose and treat clients from ages 6-85, including children, teens, adults, and seniors, couples and families. I work best with clients who are ready to explore their emotions, understand themselves more deeply, and make meaningful changes in their lives. I support individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, or patterns that feel “stuck.” My ideal clients are open to learning new coping strategies, gaining insight into their behaviors, and building stronger connections with themselves and others.
I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a powerful approach that helps people heal from difficult or overwhelming experiences. EMDR uses gentle techniques like eye movements to help the brain “unstick” painful memories so they feel less heavy and overwhelming. In our work together, I may use EMDR to help you process trauma, anxiety, grief, or negative beliefs that keep you feeling stuck. Clients often find that after EMDR, past experiences no longer carry the same emotional weight, making space for more peace, confidence, and healing in the present.
I use Adlerian therapy to help clients better understand how their early experiences and beliefs shape the way they see themselves and the world today. This approach focuses on building self-awareness, increasing confidence, and creating healthier patterns in relationships. Together, we explore your unique strengths, uncover unhelpful beliefs, and work toward more balance, purpose, and connection in your life
I use attachment-based therapy to explore how your early relationships may influence how you connect with yourself and others today. This approach helps strengthen your sense of security, improve relationships, and heal from patterns of disconnection or insecurity. Together, we work on building healthier ways of relating that support trust, confidence, and emotional well-being.
I use Child-Parent Psychotherapy to support young children and their caregivers in healing from trauma or stress. This approach focuses on strengthening the parent-child relationship, improving communication, and helping children feel safe and understood. Together, we work to build trust, resilience, and a secure, nurturing connection between you and your child.
I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients manage intense emotions, reduce self-destructive patterns, and improve relationships. DBT teaches practical skills in mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and effective communication so you can feel more balanced, confident, and in control of your life.
