I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a passion for helping people. I believe that each person has the capacity to heal and grow, and I am committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for my clients to explore their challenges and develop effective coping mechanisms. I have a wide range of experience working with individuals, couples, and families, and I tailor my approach to each client's unique needs. I am committed to helping my clients overcome life's challenges and achieve their goals.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I can't wait to meet you and start working with you. In our first session, we'll get to know each other and talk about what you want to get out of therapy. I'll do my best to create a safe and welcoming space where you feel comfortable sharing and being vulnerable. Then, in the sessions that follow, we'll work together to make your goals a reality.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths as a provider are my ability to listen actively and non-judgmentally, and my ability to create a safe and supportive environment for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings. I am also skilled at helping clients develop coping mechanisms and strategies for dealing with difficult situations.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a widely used type of psychotherapy. It helps individuals identify and change negative thinking patterns and behaviors. The therapy focuses on developing coping skills for present-day challenges. CBT is often short-term and goal-oriented, focusing on practical solutions. It empowers individuals to manage their thoughts, feelings, and actions more effectively.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness-based therapies cultivate present moment awareness without judgment. These interventions encourage individuals to observe their thoughts, feelings, and sensations. Techniques like meditation and mindful movement help develop this awareness. This approach can be beneficial for managing stress, anxiety, and depression. Mindfulness-based therapies empower individuals to respond to challenges with greater clarity and composure.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) skills training offers a comprehensive approach to managing emotions and improving relationships. This evidence-based therapy teaches practical techniques for navigating challenging situations and building resilience. Core skills modules include mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. These modules work synergistically to foster self-awareness and improve coping mechanisms. Through consistent practice and application, individuals can develop healthier patterns of behavior and enhance their overall well-being.
